Going to Ventura to get a tattoo this weekend.

of what? and where? be sure to take the 'before' picture in case you need to sue.

Shawnee123 11-09-2007 01:35 PM

When I was off work earlier this week I was watching one of the "Judge" shows during the day (hey, no cable, no choices) and this guy was suing because the tattoo artist was supposed to put "Detroit's Own" and instead put "Detoit's Own." Be careful not to get one that reads "Moth" or "Lie Free Or Die."

HungLikeJesus 11-09-2007 01:39 PM

That's why you should always do the rough draft in pencil.

Shawnee123 11-09-2007 01:40 PM

It was on the guy's back, and I guess he didn't notice it when the dude showed him the design (stencil?) Man, I would be so mud!

Yea....I know someone who has "vegatarian" spelled on their wrist.

I also heard about this local tattoo artist who hid penises intentionally inside his designs. Apparently he goofed and the penises were prominent with someone he knew personally, and the girl had to go get them covered. Word spread and no one who knew about it went to him again.
Yea.....no one wants a large misplaced penis permanently inked on their body....go figure. It's tougher if you can't see it being done behind you. Holy shit! Is that a......? Is that A?!?
No reason not to go back and kick someone's butt for that one......
:)

I painted "Yove Your Mother" around a globe on jinx's favorite pair of jeans once. It looked awesome.

Then off to a blues fest or the pub to watch world cup reruns.

That refereeing deal is pretty cool Merc. Some of our locals are trying to get a clinic to improve fencing directing locally. Good refs are almost priceless. btw this weekend I should be fencing epee. (this weapon requires almost no directing.) One of my blades looked pretty hinky at practice tonight, I hope I don't break my goodun.

I was fencing epee many years ago, when in the middle of an intense exchange of blades the president nearly-screamed "HALT!!!" despite neither of us landing anything like a blow, and being fencing electric anyway.
She pointed out my blade to me ... about an inch had broken off the tip, leaving a sharp and quite dangerous edge that neither my opponent nor I had spotted. One good lunge and simultaneous counter-attack might have been interesting.
As you say, a good ref is priceless.

Funny thing is, the opponent was an unsporting jerk who I had last seen when he bullied me in high school, and is the only person who I've ever fenced that I wouldn't have been upset if I'd hurt.
FTR I lost 5-4, but our team won the Italian relay of which I was the first leg.

Merc, it looks like the scrum-half for the defending team is pushing your head down!

Cool story zen. It reminds you that they really are weapons.

We have cards in fencing as well usually for weapon problems but lil' Pete picked up a yellow for a corp-a-corp last weekend.
