Pass me a Beer.

*Also works with Soda, for those who like sugar that isn't rotten.

Sundae 06-26-2012 01:38 PM

Cool potatoes!
Initially I worried about the amount of beer being wasted.

Then I remembered it was American "beer".
I can deal with that.

This one's just for you Grav: ever so slightly nsfw

Gravdigr 07-07-2012 03:02 PM

That was great. Shows just how smart they are.

Thanks!

infinite monkey 07-14-2012 09:56 AM

The shit women thread reminded me of this scene.

I could watch Bridesmaids a hundred times and still laugh every time.

DanaC 07-15-2012 05:17 AM

One for the maths geeks

DanaC 07-17-2012 06:58 PM

DanaC 07-20-2012 04:41 PM

This is what we were watching in Britain in the late 90s. Is it any wonder we're all fucking mental?

Youkind of have to go with it for a bit before it starts to get funny. Also, cultural note: 'Loot' was the name of a free ads paper, where everyone sold their cars and stuff.

I like Clive Anderson.

End of show routine from Steve Coogan's show a few years ago.

Language very much nsfw:

And not a good song to find yourself unthinkingly singing under your breath at the supermarket...

Undertoad 07-22-2012 05:19 PM

A clam eats table salt off a table. Your argument is invalid

DanaC 07-22-2012 05:29 PM

Fuck. Suddenly clam chowder really doesn't sound so appealing....

xoxoxoBruce 07-22-2012 05:37 PM

It's not eating the salt, that's it's leg. It's looking for sand or mud to hide in.

Cyber Wolf 07-25-2012 09:57 PM

I was gonna put this in funny political pictures, but it's not really a picture. If it still counts, a mod can move it there, plz thx.

Oh noes. I definitely can't watch it now.
I'm a determined omnivore, but sometimes, just sometimes, I justify eating animals by the ones I let go.

Gravdigr 07-30-2012 03:47 PM

This clip has a single example of NSFW language. A nice, loud 'WTF?' at around the 25 second mark.

Funny up til then, then, fucking hilarious.

The new series of QI launched this week. Can't believe we're up to J already!

Mildly nsfw

Victoria Coren is wonderful. I love her.

Gravdigr 09-16-2012 05:33 PM

First time I've heard Jimmy Carr's laugh.

That's an incredibly moronic laugh.

I did look at him! and he didn't so much as crack a smile the whole time he was signing up. serious business i suppose.... One of my salesmen told me he just got a contract for a tv show. I hope he succeeds. He and his ?wife? were pretty cool.

Undertoad 09-18-2012 10:50 AM

Did you present him with some heavy duty contract language, and say "Now would you look at this..."

I should have, but they were being serious, and I didn't want to be pedantic.

he is known for his 'mumbles' character too. but no. no mumbling.

John Oliver: The decline of the American Empire p1

DanaC 11-09-2012 07:15 AM

I don't even remember what it was that sent me off looking at The New Statesman clips on the toob, but anyways, whilst I was doing so I came across this little gem. Seems strangely relevant today given it is from the 1980s.

Alan B'stard MP (the New Statesman of the title) has gone to give a speech at his old school. For reasons I cannot recall he is high as a kite at this point. I think having accidentally smoked something vicious. And so the speech is not only inappropriate for a school audience, but also uncharacteristically honest:

Gravdigr 11-20-2012 03:25 AM

Oh, look...it's Gustavo Almadovar.
