...because I win.
Went out the front door in flip flops yesterday AM. CCA front deck and steps were quite wet. Stepped down onto second step, encountered a zero friction episode, legs flew straight out, and my lower back came directly down, full force, onto the edge of the second step. Pic on the left was taken about five hours post incident, pic on the right was taken about 18 hours post incident. I am truly grateful that I apparently did not break my back. To be completely fair, the second pic is taken considerably closer in than the first, but I think the depth of the stunning purple hue speaks for itself. The wires are from my TENS unit, for which I am exceedingly grateful. |

Holy crap! Glad you're (relatively) unscathed. That is a beautiful shade of plum, though.

Minifobette walked in front of a swinging kid today, and got kicked across the cheekbone. Here's what it looks like 6 hours later. We're teaching her to say "You should see the other guy" when everyone asks about it tomorrow.

or you could teach her to say "momma warned me...."
;) Not so mini any more, eh? Hope it's not so tender it hurts when she moves her face :( Poor Mini. |
I know, she just turned 6 a couple weeks ago. It's kind of nuts. Plus, she's catching up on her perpetually-undersized brother. She's two years younger but there's some clothing items they can share.
I feel old. |
