@monster,

Something more specific to try when you feel up to it.

I remember Beest being active in computer discussions here so I used the Cellar search engine to look for some keywords in his posts. Something came up in the results that may help. He said he was using two cloud storage systems, Google Drive for documents and One Drive as a backup of a backup for photos.

One drive comes with WIN10 so yours should be working. You can find One Drive by typing it into your PC's file search if you don't already have a shortcut. You can access One Drive from your desktop to see if photos are in the Shared folder. Otherwise, access it from his desktop to check the other (restricted) folders. Double click on the One Drive icon to display all of its folders.

If that doesn't pan out, Sign into Google with his password and try the folders in Google Drive.

Good luck!

I got into the one drive! I found photos! They stopped at 2016. :( Rome was 2017

just keep hacking, just keep hacking...

Goddamn phone won't reset to the new time.

Is there a provision for setting the time your self?

Well fuck no there ain't.

Is there a provision for selecting Daylight Savings Time your self?

Well fuck no there ain't.

If I wasn't sick and didn't drive a vehicle w/260000 miles on it I'd throw this piece of fucking shit as far as I could.

I hate a goddamned phone, and I hate fucking TracFones even more.

Is there anything here that helps? Link

Gravdigr 03-10-2019 11:07 AM

I've had this fone for about 5 years. There is no provision for time or anything concerned with time anywhere on this fone. When ya spring forward or back ya turn the fone off to reset the time. Not working this time for whatever reason.

Thanks for trying to help though.:)

It ain't even noon yet!?!?!?

This is going to be a very long day.

And I'm already tired of it.

sexobon 03-10-2019 11:40 AM

Can you easily remove the battery, without losing stored information, in case that resets something simply turning it off doesn't?

Hunh. My Tracfone handled the time change without a hitch. I told you, it's time to spend $10 on a new one! :D

sexobon 03-10-2019 01:59 PM

That would be cheaper than maintaining a summer place one time zone over.

I'm in a place where I don't need to buy green bananas, much less durable goods.

Happy Monkey 03-11-2019 10:48 PM

Phones haven't been durable since the 70s.

Gravdigr 03-12-2019 10:46 AM

The one on my kitchen wall is fairly durable. It's at least thirty years old.

Popdigr thinks he still has their old round dial phone somewhere. Why he's kept it idk, no way it'll still work.

Diaphone Jim 03-12-2019 11:36 AM

Dial (rotary) telephones still function with the grid; they may have internal problems.

As long as this is sort of about daylight saving time, I would like to see a Constitutional amendment that prohibits any political unit (city, county, state, etc.) from authorizing any time system that does not have 12 o'clock Noon occur at the solar meridian, i.e. straight up.
In other words, all of the United States must permanently remain on Standard Time, with "Saving" time outlawed forever.
