Found in an old barn, What is this? Seriously, because no one we know seems to know. It's is apparently some kind of specialized sewing tool but for sewing what, and why the sliding halves? It appears there was another matching needle on the other half that broke off. |
Part of a loom, maybe?
|
I'd send pictures to this guy, beau.
Might be for sewing grain bags, tobacco stalks, or the lips on shrunken heads? :dunce: |
Thanks, xoB, I will!
My Dad suggested the bag stitcher, but this seems too elaborate for that. Grav, I don't believe shuttlecocks had needles but I suppose mebbe. |

It's the head-tool for a fracking drill.
By rotating the apparatus, the operator changes the direction. The push/pull action of top piece is the actual drilling mechanism They use wood to avoid sparks, which could cause an gas explosion. Trust me, I stayed in a Holiday Inn last Friday night. |

Cool, Grave nailed it. I had no idea because my Granny was an old school hooker. :haha:

Yes he did.
...and yes she was. She didn't need no fancy tools when she hooked. Her rug was easy to poke. {snort} Sorry, couldn't pass that one up. |
