attach, yes. windscreen yes, dashboard no. my dash has a faux-leather texture to the plastic/vinyl/whatever. It won't stick there. Definitely windows though, and I've used it very successfully in that configuration. Not a gps, not close.

ha! I made a careful examination of the space for any evidence of dogs (which could have been very ewww) before I settled in. But no. Good guess though.

I'm percolating an idea that the the suction cup thing is some sort of optional dual mount system for mounting something that can use either a cup holder grabbing that cylinder, or the suction cup on the windshield. The velcro doesn't fit that theory, and I'd like to see some hardware for holding a GPS or similar, but that's my line of thought right now.

I'm guessing the nuts are for holding down the spire at the top of the Space Needle. They are very clean though, which is curious.

Nope. The suction cup mount is device specific, though it is removable and the device is perfectly useable without the suction cup mount.

Winner! These are two of twelve (I think) hex nuts holding the Space Needle to the Earth. They're huge. I have another shot of my hand in front of one of them for scale which I'll post when I can get to it. They're clean, super clean, and everything is painted white which was enough to satisfy the camera to forgo the flash.

Wow. That didn't take long. An Aluim pot that I heated grease, to use on cast iron. Left it outside and Squrrels liked it.

BigV 12-12-2012 01:37 PM

omg.. that makes me cringe to think of the teeth scraping, gouging the metal.

uuuuuuuuughhhh... *shiver*

Chocolatl 12-12-2012 02:57 PM

I just knew it had to be teeth marks, but I figured it was on wood. Thinking of the sound that must've made makes my teeth hurt!

I've read (Soul Mountain) about a forestry station in China that left an aluminium bowl of food out for a panda. In the morning, the bowl was gone, except for a few little shreds. They were able to track the panda for a week, by following the trail of crumpled aluminium droppings through the forest.

Like slow motion radar counter measure.
