Just seems a pretty normal description to me. The description of her looks....well, that's just adding flesh to the bones and if she's attractive it's probably very nice flesh:P The fact that she's husbandless, seems like a way o saying she needs a bit of help. She's alone in the world and embarking on something scary, he's asking him to give her support. That's the way i read it anyway.

Adding my :2cents: - I am with those who believe it's just a guy thing. A woman might have written, "He's a real sweetheart - finding himself a bit adrift without his wife so give him a hug from me" ie focussing on the personality and the feelings. Men describe the packaging instead. It doesn't mean anything.
