He's Loudon Wainwright III's son, and a brilliant singer/songwriter/pianist/guitarist in his own right. His new album just came out, you should check it out cause it's good and he's awesome.

I keep meaning to buy a Rufus Wainwright album - he was on Jonathan Ross the other week and really made me laugh. I made a definite decision to hunt up his new album... and then promptly forgot again until I saw this thread.

I've liked every song I've heard him sing, and he is friends with one of my heroes (Mark Gatiss) so I really must get around to it!

Rufus is a looker alright. And I'm not even gay.
