I don't know... what is it about them that turns people into busybodies is what confuses me.

I think it's because it's a very polarizing issue, like abortion and immigration. A lot of folks feel very strongly either way. But no one is ever convinced to change their minds.

rkzenrage 05-27-2007 11:35 PM

I've been in the room when people have changed their mind. I have changed my mind on both abortion and the death penalty.

bluecuracao 05-27-2007 11:38 PM

So, there's a chance I might change your mind about illegal immigrants? ;)

rkzenrage 05-27-2007 11:43 PM

Sure, as long as it is rational. You are going to have a hard time convincing me that there is a rational reason to overturn our immigration laws, since they are some of the most liberal and easy to navigate in the world. That, and I feel that it is crazy to say that it is fair to reward people for harming the system and people's chances who are trying to get into this nation legally.
You don't reward people for cutting in front of you in line anywhere else... it would be silly to here where people's lives are one the line and it is criminals doing it... but you are free to show me a rationality for it.

bluecuracao 05-28-2007 12:40 AM

sigh.

rkzenrage 05-28-2007 12:44 AM

Those are reasonable criteria.

bluecuracao 05-28-2007 12:49 AM

I was just trying to make a joke.

rkzenrage 05-28-2007 12:49 AM

Got it.

I'm waiting for the gun thread arguments to end so the participants can get on with their make up sex. Man oh man, that's going to be one hell of an orgy!

What is the point?

We're all entitled to our opinions on threads and the tone of the Cellar. Just look at how quickly people who post in txtspk are told that we don't like it here.

Differing public opinion makes this place what it is. I found out I was in the minority when I complained. Good. I needed to know that, I'm over myself now. You?

Want to censor my opinion?

When I don't like a thread, I punch my computer monitor. Well, not the actual monitor, but a plexiglass safety panel I installed in front of the monitor to protect it from whatever it is that keeps making them not work anymore.

I swear to God, if I have to punch one more broken monitor I am gonna seriously punch something.

Nope, I just want to know why you care what others are doing when it does not affect you at all? Especially when the way you express that is hurtful to them. Busybody much?
