I need some slack. Anyone know where I can pick up a roll?

Thanx for the tip, Boxes. I've brought my car to several mechanics, and none of them could help me. A teaspoonful of brake fluid, and my blinkers are running perfectly.

I keep getting a mental image of people applying oil to the blinkers on horses.

(we call them indicators in the UK)

Can I have my mechanic do this while he's fixing my brakelight rotors?

xoxoxoBruce 08-10-2008 12:54 PM

Sadly, your brakelight rotors can't be repaired. They're cellular, modular, interactive-odular, so the whole unit has to be replaced with an expensive new one, from some third world shithole.

Don't forget that just a small amount of Flubber can turn your flivver into a flier.

Ruminator 08-16-2008 12:49 PM

Good advice Sarge. Luckily my mechanic always includes changing my blinker fluid at every oil change.

But I'm in the middle of repainting the window trim on my home and went to buy a ladder to get access to my second floor trim.

Silly me! Instead I bought a sky hook and it reaches to any height I need beyond the length of the ladder. That was the selling point that convinced me.

Aliantha, Lowe's sells camo paint. Check with them, they might carry striped paint in various color combinations.

I washed the basement windows this morning. It took me hours to dig the holes for the ladder.

A big one around here is asking the FNG to go get some Otis elevators and some fallopian tubes.

HungLikeJesus 08-16-2008 03:57 PM

When I worked in a factory, they would send the new guy to get a bucket of steam to clean some piece of equipment.

Any surgeon here is welcome to mine, I sure as hell don't need them anymore!
