Votes? We don't need votes. They just complicated things. We have a benign dictator.

It went something like this: Poster: I think we should all have a say about how things are run. Me: This is a dictatorship, not a democracy. (smilie) Apparently it really was a dictatorship. lol |
lol
*looks around with worried expression* Oh, btw, I just spotted the typo in my last post. It was supposed to say complicate, not complicated |
I don't think you need to worry Dana. ;)
You're pretty 'popular'. lol |
Flanders/Devil/Lawer: I give you the Jury of the Damned ... Richard Nixon
Nixon: But I'm not dead yet! F/D/L: Shut up. You owe me. |

What dead horse am I flogging.
I was making a joke and it obviously wasn't what you lot thought. I'll explain. Among my circle of friends, if a chick is refered to as 'popular' it usually means she's easy. Of course, we know this is not the case with Dana - hence the quote marks - but I got a laugh out of it for myself. It's not said in a hurtful way and isn't meant to be insulting in any way. In fact, it just became a joke when we used to go to the pub and some bloke would buy one of us a drink. We'd usually turn around and say something like, "well aren't you popular" with an understood emphasis on the popular. Anyway, it's always lovely to have to explain humour. Hope you've all gotten something out of it today. |
There's a little paranoia going around, Ali ;)

*Chuckles* well it made me smile anyway :P
