W.HI.P 11-27-2009 01:16 PM

nhl
eastern conference

atlantic
1]pittsburgh penguins 34
2]new jersey devils 31
3]philadelphia flyers 27
4]new york rangers 27
5]new york islanders 25

the penguins, as expected, continue to be elite, but despite my projections in 06 for them to be in the stanley cup 3 years in a row, i don't think they're the top candidate this season.
the devils are on the fall, but might squeeze in to the play-offs as some of the other competitors seem weaker.
expect the rangers and flyers to get stronger as the season moves on...both teams are capable of going all the way.
the islanders are better, but give em a couple years.

northeast
1]ottawa senators 29
2]boston bruins 28
3]buffalo sabres 26
4]montreal canadiens 25
5]toronto maple leafs 17

the bruins should win this division, and the seantors should make the play-offs.
the sabres, despite their early form, have fallen, and should fall some more.
the canadiens are a better team, but suffer from injuries to key players.
i have been making fun of the leafs for quite some time, but i must say, that they are, at this time, on the road to rebuilding...finally.
they're getting rid of the old and going young...it'll take some years, but we finally have something positive to say about them.

southeast
1]washington capitols 34
2]tampa bay lightening 25
3]atlanta thrashers 25
4]florida panthers 24
5]carolina hurricaine 15

no suprise here as far as washington is concerned.
tampa bay is as young as a team can get.
hedmans playing 28 minutes a game in his rookie season.
tampa will suprise in the play-offs.
atlanta is a really good team....bogosian looks like he'll be a dominant defender for years to come....i'll be suprised if they don't make the play-offs.
florida, i'm not so sure about.
carolina at the start of the season, for some reason, was placed as the 2nd favorite int his division.
they are amongst the worst teams in the nhl

western conference

central
1]chicago blackhawks 34
2]nashville predators 29
3]columbus blue jackets 27
4]detroit red wings 26
5]st.louis blues 22

this is easily the best division in the west.
the blackhawks, as i projected, have taken this division over.
the blue jackets, with filatov sent down to russia, and mason playing less and less, look to be drafting this season, despite their already amazing team....look out for columbus next year as they may surpass chicago.
nashville looks to fall after some early form.
the blues are 2nd half of the season team, don't be suprised if they squeeze in to the play-offs again.
the detroit red wings are in a tough position as their players are starting to use their sticks as canes.

northwest
1]colorado avalanche 32
2]calgary flames 31
3]vancouver canucks 26
4]edmonton oilers 23
5]minesota wild 19

colorado is a suprise, but i don't think it will last.
they may squeeze in to the play-offs as the west is becoming weaker as elite teams of the past look to rebuild.
the flames as projected, should win this division, and seem to be, along with ottawa, the strongest canadian teams in the nhl.
the canucks will not make the playoffs...you can quote me on that
the canucks in my eyes, are the worst run franchise in the nhl
the oilers have made the same kind of mistakes as the canucks, but they are younger.
the wild are clearly rebuilding as they should.

pacific
1]san jose sharks 36
2]la kings 30
3] dallas stars 29
4]phoinex coyotes 27
5]anaheim ducks 21

the sharks remain one the strongest teams in the nhl.
not too many teams in the west will be able to beat them when it counts..they are a candidate for the stanley cup.
no suprise in the kings as they hold some serious hockey players.
the stars are as mediocre as ever.
bryzgalov is one of the main reasons the coyotes have 27 points, but overall, they are well under par.
the ducks, despite trading pronger, remain elite, but as mentioned at the start of the season, this is without doubt, a drafting year.

W.HI.P 11-27-2009 01:21 PM

not too many games this week in the nfl.
despite the giants loss in the mountains, lets make 4 bets for entertainment purposes.

1]buffalo bills vs miami dolphins[-3.5]
2]philadelphia eagles[-9.5] vs washington redskins
3]minnesota vikings[-10.5] vs chicago bears
4]baltimore ravens[-2.5] vs pittsburgh steelers

4 bets at $500 = $2000

123
124
134
234

3 wins = $3.500
4 wins = $14.000

Oh dear. did you just think they'd lose by less than 6.5 or were you predicting a win?

It was an honest question. You had a great week the week before and this loss was so big the other way I was wondering whether you just thought the spread was off or if you had predicted a win. I guess it's a sensitive point for you.... but really, this behavious is totally inappropriate. You won't need to worry about my hurting your feelings any more, though -my tryng to follow your tips was more of a charitable thing than anything else. no skin off my nose.

But don't pm me again.

skysidhe 11-27-2009 11:59 PM

When people start comments with 'oh dear' it could be mistaken for snarky....esp around here.

Maybe he didn't know that 'oh dear' was going to be followed by charitable feelings of good will.

Kind of over kill to post a message instead of just asking him although I can see how shaken up you are.

W.HI.P 11-28-2009 12:07 AM

i guess no one here watched goodfellas.

don't take it personally monster.

Can we bet on that and win some money?

no offence whip but it's the first time I could see a fine and wealthy outcome on a wager

being told to go fuck my mother is a non issue -my kids tell me that before breakfast, but a PM by definition is personal, just keep it public, mmmkay? Sky, you're deluded.

i didn't mean to hurt your feelings, although i assume that was your original goal.

W.HI.P 12-02-2009 04:24 PM

i'm not touching thursdays game this week as it is between two of the weakest teams in the game.
my bet of the week, is the giants, who at home, are taking 2.5 points from the weak cowboys.
given the strong belief i have on this game, i'll be opening up the wallet this week and increase the money bet.
we'll use the giants as a base, and combine it with, the dolphins, falcons, redskins, chiefs, bucs and jaguars.
all teams are taking points, and other than the bucs, they're all at home.

1]new york giants vs dallas cowboys[-2.5]
2]miami dolphins vs new england patriots[-5.5]
3]atlanta falcons vs philadelphia eagles[-6.5]
4]washington redskins vs new orlean saints[-10.5]
5]kansas city chiefs vs denver broncos[-5.5]
6]carolina panthers[-6.5] vs tampa bay bucs
7]jacksonville jaguars vs houston texans[-1.5]

6 wins = $52.500

this could end up being a very very good week.

W.HI.P 12-06-2009 09:31 PM

we'll be cashing in on $10.500

stay tuned for college bowl picks.
our track record in the ncaaf bowls is remarkable.
lets make some serious money

classicman 12-06-2009 09:47 PM

so you won $3000? or you won your investment plus the $10,500? I assume the first, but just thought I'd ask to be sure.

its $3000 profit.
one more win would have taken it to $13.500.
thats why we bet in a defesive fashion.
any other type of betting would give us a return of 0.
i actually made a bit more than that as i had 21 bets rather than the 15 showing as i added the oakland win over the steelers.
that game was not available when i posted the picks due to the question of wether or not the steelers qb would be starting.
it finally opened up at 14.5, which in my eyes, was absurd.

if you think about it, we lost 3 games, and made $3000.
..and thats what this thread is really about.
not so much what to bet on, but how to bet.

classicman 12-06-2009 10:00 PM

As you can probably tell, I have placed exactly zero bets in my life. I'm curious and I'm attempting to follow the logic. thanks.

thanks there xxxshowxxx ,as i've said before, this thread is not so much about what to bet on, but how to bet.

i see you've done pretty well this week... 4 out of 4

W.HI.P 12-14-2009 05:51 PM

just so people get the true idea of what this sytem is, i'll go into further detail.

most people, make one straight bet on 3-6 games.
this would require them to win 100 percent of their games to cash in.
if we look at our accomplishments over the past 3 years in this thread, we will see that the majority of time, while picking 5 games, we get [3 out of 5] or [4 out of 5] correct.
if we were to have wagered these weeks the way the majority of people gamble, we would have zero returns on these weeks.

what this system provides is, instead of winning nothing on weeks where you go [3 out of 5] or [4 out of 5], you collect almost all of your money back while going [3 out of 5], and almost tripling your money while going [4 out of 5].

in a 3 week span, if you can achieve [4 out of 5] in 1 of those weeks, you will be in a positive $ net.

the only negative aspect of this defencive system of wagering, is that should a week come around where you achieve [5 out of 5] your return is less than it would be than if you had bet the way most people bet.
lets use xxxshowxxx's week for example.
he's gone 4 out of 4 with 1 game left.

what position would you rather be in.
having wagered $3.000

would you rather have $8.400 already won and $21.000 sitting on arizona -3.5?

or would you chose to be in a position where you've won nothing, but
waiting on $60.000.

greed would have us going after the larger sum, but thats where they get us.

if you do the math, you'll see that [4 out of 5] comes a lot more often than [5 out of 5], and i'd like to cash in on that $8.400, so that its all good in the end no matter how that 5th game goes.

look at the net of the year rather than the particular week you're in.

xxxshowxxx 12-16-2009 09:35 PM

hey guys well i guess luck was not with me completely last week end as arizona did not come threw but as whip was saying the method works for example if i were to of made the 5 team bet i would of lost as sure as i was on arizona winning they didnt. they had a terrible game and because of the defensive betting i stil won.Hopefully this week i can go 5 for 5 with these picks.

1] Ind -3 over Jack
2]GB +2 over Pit
3]NYG -3 over Was
4]Phi -8 over SF
5]Ks -1.5 over clev

Oak+14 over denver
Seatle -6.5 over TB
MIN -9 over Car

classicman 12-16-2009 10:59 PM

That Philly pick scares me - although I'm a nobody and never bet anything.
Well actually I bet Radar once. . . sorta. I was right, but he'll never admit it.

W.HI.P 12-17-2009 03:14 AM

we'll be using saturday nights game as our base.

1]new orlean saints[-7.0] vs dallas cowboys

i don't get the hype that this new orleans team is getting.
this attack, is as good as it was last year.
it was amazing last year, and it is amazing this year.
what has improved a little bit, is their defence.
does it make them more of a contender than last year?
possibly.
this bet is not about that, its about this weeks game against the desperate cowboys.
with the saints motives under serious question in addition to the perception of the masses, we'll have to use this game as a base.

2]tennessee titans[-3.5] vs miami dolphins

this dolphins team is what it is because of bill.
no ronnie brown injury is gonna get rid of this team, which has introduced a revolution of the sport that is being used throughout the nfl and college football.
the miami dolphins can win this division for the 2nd year in a row, but they're gonna have to beat the titans in tennessee to maintain their title.

3]seattle seahawks[-7.5] vs tampa bay bucs

both teams motives are under question here, as both teams are looking to lose for draft purposes at this point.
it is more than likely that the home team achieves this draft goal.
huge 7.5 point cushion on ability alone.

4]pittsburgh steelers vs green bay packers[-1.5]

i have to give some credit to ben here as he has taken a greater beating over the past 2 seasons than any qb in the league.
he is an iron horse.
the attack is a mess.
the steelers are falling to the pit of the nfl.
however, their aging defence, although on the way out, still has this time to play, and they will.
watch this possible wild card packers attack to get banged up in these match-ups

5]carolina panthers vs minnesota vikings[-9.5].

its resting time.

6]washington redskins vs new york giants[-3.5]

the redskins need to replace clinton portis, and they're aiming very very high in the draft.
is the team capable? clearly they are, but they will not win this game.
the chances of the giants winning by 3 points is a lot less probable than the chances of the giants winning by 4 or more, so given the odds, we're gonna have to go with the play-off team.

1 base combined with 5 games make up 10 bets.

Hey whip regarding this pick you have. The pittsburgh steelers defence in regards to the QB has been below par if i must say and against a weaker clev team Pit was ruined on sacked and ben was tossed around. how will Pit fair beter against a beter GB team who has been playing prety well lately. Pit had there game to win last week and i see this being a close game but it coming down to who can play the best defence. if Ben cant get the ball off then he cant do much. i see GB playing better on defence and several sacks against PIt.

W.HI.P 12-17-2009 04:54 AM

the steelers ol was outmatched last week against the browns dl, you could see that coming from a mile away.
any week is projected to be a bad week for the steelers protection, but i'm afraid the packers ol is completely outmatched against the steelers kinda pressure, which is overwhelmingly superior to the packers.

i'm not sure how long you've been reading this thread, but nobody on this planet has been pointing at the steelers ol longer than i have.
i'm aware of how weak it is, the difference in this particular game where both ol's are outmatched, is the qb's.
rogers will not have time to use his weapons to their specific attributes.
rogers is not quite as tough as ben is.

maybe we should be giving the under

lumberjim 12-19-2009 03:36 PM

I was actually feeling kind of optimistic about the cowboys chances in New Orleans.....then I read this thread, and WHiP is picking the boys.

I don't like it. I don't like it a little bit.

I still think we take the Saints' perfect record away tonight.

I'm even wearing my Romo jersey today. last time i wore it, the cowboys beat the iggles 20-16. what could possiblie go rong?

W.HI.P 12-20-2009 01:42 AM

thats the way to start a week.
its so much easier when you start sunday with your base already through.
its very likely that we will be ending this week with a profit....lets see how much.

the chances of the giants winning by 3 points is a lot less probable than the chances of the giants winning by 4 or more, so given the odds, we're gonna have to go with the play-off team.

W.HI.P 12-21-2009 12:07 AM

this week is another example of how our betting system works.

we won the base, and 4 wins, so we've already won $12.600.

this is the position you'll want to be in having won 5 out of 5 with 1 game left.... already more than 4 times your money wagered

our winnings for this week will go up to $21.000 with a giants win -3.5 tonight.

this is how you cash in for sure on your good weeks.
you don't want to be in a position most people find themselves in having all the winnings riding on the final game.
you gotta take the money.

W.HI.P 12-22-2009 12:33 AM

wow, weeks like this don't come so often....[6 out of 6]
my actual net on this season in the nfl rises to +$33.000.
with free money games in the play-offs, our objective is to add a zero to the end of that figure.

since this thread is called betting tips, let me give a tip.
when winning good money, people tend to up their stakes...this is a no-no.
one might consider going the opposite way and decrease their wager.
after all, you've achieved the objective of profit from gambling, now don't go giving it all back.
the most logical thing to do, since your betting is working as you're in a positive net, is not to change anything...you bet $3.000 before you won, bet $3.000 again.

to those who won some serious money this week, you're welcome.

W.HI.P 12-23-2009 05:29 PM

when betting in a week where there is an early thursday, or saturday night game... you need to ask yourself wether or not you're gonna use the game.
if the answer is yes, then one should use the early game as a base.
if its a strong base, then go ahead and bet your usual.
if the game is not suited to be a base, still use it as a base, but decrease the money wagered.

the reason why one should use the game as a base, is if the game goes through, you won't want to be holding bets that do not contain this game.
if it does not go through, you can simply treat the week as a new one

we'll be using saturday nights game as a base for this week.

1] tennessee titans[-2.5] vs san diego chargers

the difference in quality between these two teams is overwhelming on both sides of the ball.
the only thing to worry about is wether or not the chargers are resting, cause otherwise, this is an easy double digit win.

2]miami dolphins[-3.0] vs houston texans
if there is one thing you can count on, its that bill has his priorities straight.
when you have to win, you try your best to win.
when its time to lose, you gotta try your best to lose.
the dolphins will finish out this season without another win.

4]clevland browns[-3.5] vs oakland raiders
another case where both teams want to lose for draft purposes.
its very common that the home team achieves this draft goal.

3]pittsburgh steelers[-2.5] vs baltimore ravens
ben had an amazing game last week against the under par packers defence.
sunday will prove to be a different story.
the man may be an iron horse, but he's up against some of the toughest men in the sport.
i doubt ben will finish out the game.

even though week 17 has alwasy been good to us, due to the inbalance of betting that takes place on teams that need to win, we'll be saving our serious money for the free money play-off games.

we'll be using the cowboys as a base.

W.HI.P 01-04-2010 03:35 PM

we can expand our wallets just a little bit for this week, but lets still save the serious money for the following weeks.

we'll be using the eagles as a base

1] dallas cowboys[-4.0] vs philadelphia eagles

perceptions are far from reality.
the superior team will win.

2]cincinnati bengals[-2.5] vs new york jets

another game where perceptions were falsely altered.
i don't think everyone bought this one.
the superior team should win this.

3]arizona cardinals[-2.5] vs green bay packers

aaron rogers should shine in this game as he has evolved into a dominant qb.
i don't trust the packers defence, but i can't say that the cardinals is any better.

4]new england patriots[-3.5] vs baltimore ravens

if you wanna send your team out full force week 17 to win a game you don't need to win, you're gonna pay for it.
bad managment from the patriots leads to the wes welker injury.
brady's line remains above par, but where does he throw the ball to when moss is covered.
the ravens defence will look pretty good facing this crippled attack.

1 base combined with 3 games = 3 bets
3 bets x $2.500 = $7.500

123
124
134

the base with
2 wins = $17.500
3 wins = $52.500

HONESTLY, I said it once I'll say it again. You are the BEST at picking College Bowl Games and March Madness. I mean you are good in all other sports as well, but you are a maniac when it comes to these two sports in particular.

5-2 with the National championship games pending. 1 of your losses Penn State was by Half a point.

Truly Amazing.

I have 6 different people who check this thread and follow your picks, ESPECIALLY during College Bowls/NFL Playoffs. And March Madness.

You are the man:thumbsup:

new york yankees
its not really the line-up that puts this team into contention this year.
its the starting pitchers.
to add to cc.sabathia, they picked vazquez, who's coming off an outstanding season.
chamberlain makes up a perfect number 3, or even 2 for the future.
i don't think burnett fits this team or ball park.
what is pettite still doing around

tampa bay rays
this is a very serious team that will be dominating this sport throughout this decade.
the line-up is pure insanity
crawford
upton
longoria
pena
burrell
bartlett
zorbist
they picked up one of the best batting catchers in the game kelly shoppach to back up navarro
perez
price will end up this teams number 1 starter.
shields, garza, davis and niemann will win a lot of games with this team.
this rays bullpen is even stronger this season with the addition of rafael soriano.

baltimore orioles
this team is seriously improved, and you could see it coming as this franchise, unlike the jays, made the proper moves and now hold a team that can be competitive.
the line-up is truly elite, the only true questions that arise, are regarding the starting pitchers, who may just end up suprising us.
no doubt the bullpen is in tact with the additions.
i can see them finishing in 3rd place in this division

boston red sox
all 3 teams above have superior line-ups to the boston red-sox this season.
beckett is getting worse as he grows old.
i never liked lackey, even as an angel, another starter on the decline.
lester, matsuzaka, bucholz and wakefield are all under par.
the one and only thing that remains solid in this red-sox team, is the bullpen.
you can completely forget about this team competiting for any pennant anytime soon.

toronto blue jays

wtf is wrong with this team.
i'm willing to wager with anyone, that this blue jays team will finish in last place in this division.
its a non-existant team...its a disgrace to the game.
shame shame.
and to be in this division
other than lind, and maybe hill, there is nothing worth mentioning
there is not a division in baseball that would see this team anywhere but in last place.
this team is clearly, the worst team in baseball.

.

i have to work tommorow, so i'll pick up on the other divisions at a later time.

also, be prepared to wager your serious money on this weekend nfl games..... very high stakes this week.

W.HI.P 01-13-2010 04:24 PM

the majority of my money this week is on the chargers straight up win.
i also hold the majority of my long term bet money on the chargers winning the afc and superbowl.
this is the week to go all out....green light to all of your winnings from this season and all other money saved for these playoffs.
i'm also putting two internet sites on the line on this chargers vs jets game.
in fact, if the chargers are not in the afc final, i will not post in this thread ever again

we'll be using the chargers as a base in the pointspread system as well.

1] san diego chargers[-7.5] vs new york jets
the chargers were better than the steelers last season, and they were better than the giants the year before.
no team in the nfl can even begin to be compared to this chargers team.
i stake my reputation on this game.

2]minnesota vikings[-1.5] vs dallas cowboys
this is such a miss-match its not funny.
the vikings defence is one of the greatest against the run...its been like that for quite some years.
their main weakness is against the pass.
because of this weakness, their defence, while playing against the pass, is forced to go all out on the pass rush.
tony romo's number 1 quality is his fast release, so, you can see how this game is a huge miss-match in that aspect.
keep in mind, there is a possibility that the nfc final takes place in this cowboys stadium....in fact, given the quality of the stadium, and the money invested, it is very likely that the nfc final will be held in such a place.

3] new orlean saints[-6.5] vs arizona cardinals
as i've pointed out before this season, this saints team is not that much better than last years saints.
i feel kinda silly betting on a team like the cardinals, as they are clearly inferior to the saints.
i pointed out last week how weak the cardinals defence is, however, it is not as weak as the saints.
three factors make me wager on the cardinals in this game.
1]perception
2]the spread
3]the possibility of the nfc final being held in dallas.

4]indianapolis colts[-6.5] vs baltimore ravens
in last weeks game, i pointed out how good this ravens defence will look against the crippled patriots attack, so yeah, ease down on the ravens defence, its weaker than it was last year... and peyton is going to pick it apart.
also, the ravens running game should work against the colts almost as well as it worked against the patriots.
in my books, peyton manning is the greatest qb in the history of the game.
also in my books, brady does not rank in the top 30.
the truth about this game is that i could argue on either side of the spread.
i would love to see the chargers vs the ravens in the afc final, but i'm afraid its not going to happen.
there are 3 main factors of me picking the colts in this game.
1]percpetion in regards to the ravens defence after last weeks game.
2]peyton manning
3]when i came home today, the nfl network was showing an in depth play by play ravens sideline show of last weeks game against the patriots..... it was very convincing, and is clearly meant to alter perception.

1 base with 3 games = 3 bets.
3 bets x $25.000 = $75.000

the base with

chicago white sox
one would have to be nuts to not consider this team in this division.
its a serious team with an elite line-up, complimented by some serious starters and a very strong bullpen.

minnesota twins
i agree with the way the this team has been run.
it should start paying off this year or the next.
the twins hold some of the absolute elite players in the world.

detroit tigers
very interesting moves made in detroit that put them in contention in the near future.... but not quite yet.

kansas city royals
they hold some serious pieces, if they can hang on to them, they will reach and possibly surpass the teams in this division in a few years from now.

clevland indians
this team is far from contention despite the generally weak division.

al west

la angels
i am aware that the gap that existed in this division between the angels and the rest of the teams is getting smaller.... however, they still remain the elite in this division.

oakland a's
this is the team that will eventually overtake the angels
i'm not so sure they'll be ready to do that this season, however, they continue to make the right moves in rebuilding, so they are to be feared in a few years from now, or possibly sooner.

seattle mariners
ichiro suzuki and chone figgins make up the fastest 1-2 in the game. felix hernandez and cliff lee guarentee that this team will be above .500 this year.

texas rangers
power power power....i'm not sure that thats the way to win pennants.
you need some heavy duty starters to win, although i must admit that the rangers line-up is very impressive.

.....

on my way to work, so i'll still owe the national league.

philadelphia phillies
this team is in serious contention.
only injury could hold them back.
the trio of utley, howard and rollins in the infield is truly amazing.
to top that, they hold hamels, halladay and happ, who clearly make up the greatest first 3 starters in the majors.
huge weakness remains the non-existant bullpen.

new york mets
this team has failed in recent years, despite the amazing team they've held.
last year can be blamed on injury.
this year see's the team a tad weaker as far as names go, but with health, they may just string along in this division enough to possibly compete.

atlanta braves
the line-up is looking kinda weak here, but the starting pitching makes up for it.
i hold much respect for this braves pitching staff.
i'm interested to see what wagner and saito have left..... they will determine the strength of this bullpen.

florida marlins
boy do i like this line-up....this team will put up some serious runs this year.
i also kinda like the bullpen, despite its lack of huge names.
what ruins this teams chances this season is the starting pitching.
this team cannot be in a pennant race with these guys starting for them.

washington nationals
i'd love to say something positive about this team, but there's not much there to speak about.

nl central

st.louis cardinals
chris carpenter and albert pujols on the same team.
arguably the greatest starting pitcher in the game alongside arguably the greatest bat in the game.
strengh of this team is its pitching, both the starters, but even more so the bullpen.
huge weakness, despite the 3-4 double wammy of pujols and holliday, the line-up completely sucks.

cincinnati reds
the problem with me, is i see to far into the future.
when i see the right moves being made, i point them out, however that usually translates into reality 1-2 years later.
now the reds hold some serious pieces...joey votto, brandon phillips and jay bruce to add to the speedsters in the outfield.
they've got cordero closing, with masset and rhodes setting him up...thats one serious bullpen.
the starters are just gonna get better each year that passes.
volquez, cueto and bailey can seriously throw, while arroyo and harang have proven they can win.
this is well run team, that will end up competing for this division

houston astros
if oswalt can prove to be a worthy number 1 for the astros, than this line-up can win some games.
if this team is around come trading time, this team has been known to make a big move.
it won't take much for a team like this to go over the top in this division.

chicago cubs
i have a lot of questions regarding the condition and health of this line-up.
to add on to that, the pitching staff also seems kinda weak..i'm not crazy for the bulllpen either.
in the end, to be honest, i'd be suprised if this team was still around at the end of the season.

pittsburgh pirates
i like what they're doing with this team...slowly but surely, its just a matter of time.
this team will crawl out of the gutter before long

milwakee brewers
other than the huge 3/4 fielder/braun, this is a very very weak line-up.
who could possibly expect this team to compete with this kind of rotation.
i like the bullpen, but its not gonna work ....you gotta rebuild here...trade one of the big guys in exchange for the future..its the only way to do it.

nl west

la dodgers
this is a good team all around ......amazing bullpen, seriously, just out of this world.
a little bit of a weakness with the starters, not that their numbers will show it in this kinda ball park, but still.

colorado rockies
another well rounded team, with a little bit of everything.
betancourt for the eighth and street for the ninth, make this bullpen seem as solid as oak.
i like their starters, jimenez, cook, francis, hammel and the hard throwing de la rosa.
they've even got a few bats.
i would not be suprised in the least if this team won this division

san fransisco giants
lincecum and cain easily make up the best 1-2 in baseball.
the one thing thats holding this team back is its line-up, which is without doubt, the weakest in the game

arizona cardinals
these bats are weaker than their numbers show, and this rotation is much stronger than the number show.
they'll need to find some form early on to keep up with the dodgers and the rockies...in the end, i don't think they'll be there.

san diego padres
the padres are still in the building stages....don't judge, adrian gonzalez will most likely not stay here, so as you can understand, the draft would be the main focus for this team

Quote:

1] san diego chargers[-7.5] vs new york jets
2]minnesota vikings[-1.5] vs dallas cowboys
3] new orlean saints[-6.5] vs arizona cardinals
4]indianapolis colts[-6.5] vs baltimore ravens

1 base with 3 games = 3 bets.
3 bets x $25.000 = $75.000

123
124
134

the base with
2 wins = $175.000
3 wins = $525.000

Funny ol' game innit?

It's probably time anyway. You had a great year one, not so great years two and three. I'm pretty sure you were under 50% this NFL season. Better luck in the future.

That pick must have been based on a conspiracy theory. What will we do with the thread now? We could lock it down for posterity or post puppy pictures.

The Jets beat San Diego? Wow!

Must've been the "oh shit" factor.

If the Jets beat Indianapolis next week... I'm going to quit breathing air.

this is the week to go all out....green light to all of your winnings from this season and all other money saved for these playoffs.
i'm also putting two internet sites on the line on this chargers vs jets game.
in fact, if the chargers are not in the afc final, i will not post in this thread ever again

we'll be using the chargers as a base

1] san diego chargers[-7.5] vs new york jets

i stake my reputation on this game.

2]minnesota vikings[-1.5] vs dallas cowboys
this is such a miss-match its not funny.

3] new orlean saints[-6.5] vs arizona cardinals
i feel kinda silly betting on a team like the cardinals,
4]indianapolis colts[-6.5] vs baltimore ravens
peyton is going to pick it apart.
1 base with 3 games = 3 bets.
3 bets x $25.000 = $75.000
123
124
134
all out here

Dude - I feel really bad for you after this . . .
Guess thats why the call it gambling - eh?

its all good.
we took in 300 grand in this thread the season the giants won the superbowl.
that was a 100 percent in the playoffs year.

then the rays....you know, that was pretty big....long term bet at 67/1.

its been profitable.

the chargers costed me more than my wagered money on the week and the season, it also costed me one of my 5 jobs.
worse than that...that job provided me 40 percent of my anual income.
this little thread here was kinda like an extension of that work....a free window.... and that is why i decided to stop posting in this thread.

as far as not posting in this thread, i was refering to betting tips.
if you're gonna take a break from your mother, to troll around here, i'll be here.

monster 01-19-2010 10:00 PM

Oh, another qualification after the event:

The cowboys will lose.

I never saif the cowboys would lose, I meant that they would lose on the spread unless some asshole was corrupt.

Oh, OK then.....

You sound like my 8 year-old.

D'you always have to have the last word even if it makes you sound like a petulant toddler? can you resist posting in this thread again?

Have you ever had sex with anyone other than Rosy Palm and her five lovely daughters?

W.HI.P 01-19-2010 11:46 PM

Monster, you're the first person i've ever heard that is proud of their incestial conquests.
but, what are you going on about 8 year olds, and sex with underage children.
it is common though, that molested children end molesting children when they grow up.
just cause you were a victum to your mother, it does not mean that your children have to suffer the same as you.
seek help!
