HLJ, anytime is cool. I am around during the day and evenings can be busy for us. Although, next week is craziness with the show coming up. But after that, I am fairly free.

Good job I'm not a Christian, because I covet that painting so badly I'd have to go to confession every day. I even considered buying it at $10 a week (if Case had agreed of course).

This sounds rude:

Like mangina. But I am such an adolescent.

I also love the jellyfish painting. Yes, I have a little creepy sensation, but less than I do with Dali - which this painting has a flavour of. Although of course he was a draughtsman in effect - such detail. I am more attracted to the flow of this.

Thank you for your comments, Sundae. Actually, I am open to the payment thing, so if you are ever interested, let me know. Also, I am going to start doing art prints of my paintings, to make them a little more affordable.

Also, did I say something rude? I was joking around with HLJ and his comment, but I didn't mean to be...I apologize if I offended anyone.

Merc, yes, I am going to sell Ms. Jellyfish. ;)

Not at all - I was joking about the name of the band Vaganza.
I was the one being rude :)

I like the idea of art prints of course, but if I buy from you I will buy I want real, painted by hand, case original art. I'll be keeping an eye on what you're doing young lady.

BTW - Ducks must have paid an arm & a leg to get that shipped to Aus. That's art appreciation for you.

Thanks, Sundae. I will keep the cellar up to date with new developments.

I had never heard of the band. No worries!

Ducks is great. I am so grateful for her appreciation. Thanks, Duckie girl!

Thank you, sky! Actually, I am not sure what genre it would be considered. Probably close to Pop Surrealism or Conceptual Surrealism. Something like that (categories kind of crack me up:p ). These artists are inspirational for me, if that tells you anything:

Jeff Soto

Lisa Falzon

Ray Caesar

Brian C

Mars-1

I consider it a compliment that there is no solid category for it. ;)

My updated pricelist with links to the images is located here.

An auction is a very interesting idea. I have gone the Ebay route, in the past, however, Ebay has changed many things that make it difficult for self representing artists to profit much at all. I have considered using Etsy, at the suggestion of several artists and friends. I have hesitated, though. Perhaps when I begin to focus more on creating prints I will try Etsy for that.

Do consider it a compliment because it is!
Your work is beautiful. It captivates the eye. I think all people to have a creative outlet are lucky. I didn't get those artistic genes so the only way I am creative is by getting my fingernails dirty planting flowers on my patio. :D

DanaC 03-31-2008 04:20 PM

Case, that picture blew me away, it's beautiful and disturbing.

monster 04-01-2008 08:14 PM

I think Jelly would make a cool IotD -will you post it or may we?

kerosene 04-01-2008 09:09 PM

Thanks, monster. You guys are welcome to post, if you see fit.

monster 04-01-2008 10:45 PM

now would be the time to mention if you hate my write up or I spelled your name wrong....

(I'm no expert and no painting fan (old new real anything), but I liked this...)

Sundae 05-09-2008 06:03 PM

V's post reminded me of your work
Partly because (as he says) the bubbles look like pupils

kerosene 05-09-2008 06:17 PM

Haha! Maybe I should paint a series of underwater surreal cellarites? I could just use the RFN pics and turn you all into creatures reminiscent of HP Lovecraft novels. Anyone up for that idea?

Sundae 05-09-2008 06:18 PM

Like white on rice!
I'll buy. Mine, I mean...
