How long can you anticipate being in that house? It's a marines house, right?

Shawnee123 01-25-2011 03:38 PM

Lovely Dress Blues.

Marines.

Oorah!

(this is correct, isn't it? All of a sudden I'm doubting myself.)

monster 01-25-2011 04:04 PM

thanks, shaw :) How on earth did a color get to be called aquamarine? can you get non-aquamarine?

Pete Zicato 01-25-2011 04:28 PM

Giving names to colors only makes sense if you do it like guys do.

Once you start getting into fancy colors, you should revert to numbers the way pantone does it. There's zillions.

We'll be in there at least until June. That's when this school is over... after that we aren't sure yet where we'll be going. It's possible he could stay there, or he could go anywhere really. We'll see.

I originally didn't remember which particular brand of hero he was, so I gave a multiple choice option. And then I went off on a tangerine.

Pantene only make shampoo and conditioner, not colors.

btw, I find that guy color chart a little ambitious. Since when did they distinguish between pink and purple? and there needs to be way more overlap. And where's the "I dunno i wasn't looking at the color"?

monster 01-25-2011 08:34 PM

And where's the pineapple color bar?

How I hate those fancy color names. I recently ordered a sweater colored Dove. What the heck is Dove??? I looked at the picture, it looks white. The bird dove is white, so I figured the color is white. The sweater came back grey. So I googled "dove." I never knew!!! Dove IS grey!!!!!! It's white dove that's white....DOH......

*chuckles*

Mum has dove woodwork in her house. And there is a mated pair of doves that hang around my little mews. See them a lot in the gardens, usually on branches that are quite distant to each other, and singing at each other.

They're very slightly darker grey than Ma's woodwork.

In fairness though, there are two colours available that somewhat confuse the issue: dove white and dove grey.
