I was wondering how long it would take for that to happen. I gotta thank you though. I have found some outstanding old tunes & concerts I attended from my misspent youth. It been enlightening.

yeah...very touching story....the song sucks, though. if you're sha la la la-ing at 53 seconds in....you should probably not have bothered recording it. warren was a one hit wonder that refused to fade away gracefully. sorry.....it's just a hard god-damned fact of life.

I know only Jim's comments really count in this thread, but I feel the need to comment on this one:

Not bad IMO, but I prefer the Eagles' version.

And the drummer has his rack toms arranged in reverse.

regular.joe 01-29-2008 10:40 PM

I curious to see how far Jimbo makes it into that one before he picks up the Elgongo.

Jacquelita 01-29-2008 11:11 PM

Yeah George Michael... I think i like it because it was a big fat fuck you to his label. The song was a direct response to issues he had with them and the "packaging" they did. The irony is that he used all of their best tricks in this vid - it was pretty popular back in the day

regular.joe 01-29-2008 11:20 PM

Isn't that Stitch Jones???

'bout 2 minutes. the fucking guy started talking into synth mic and ruined what little groove there was to that music.

lumberjim 01-31-2008 11:19 PM

I respect Lenny for some reason, even though I know he's a total poser. It's a guilty pleasure.

lumberjim 01-31-2008 11:21 PM

christ zippy....are you trying to make me get car sick in my house?

what the hell is that doing in this thread......explain yourself.

zippyt 01-31-2008 11:26 PM

You NEVER said ANY THING about it being MUSICAL thread !

lumberjim 01-31-2008 11:30 PM

ok...i guess i didnt....

ill leave the race cars there and watch them another time...making me queasy at the moment

Flint 01-31-2008 11:40 PM

lumberjim 01-31-2008 11:51 PM

it is sooooo fucked up that i recognized that chick before i played the video....ask jinx! i was like...what's this, a massengill commercial?

jinx thinks your jealous of my forum and the powers i wield in it.

Shawnee123 02-01-2008 08:40 AM

Jacquelita 02-01-2008 10:40 AM

I don't understand how anyone plays a 12-string - but I thought this was a cool video

Clodfobble 02-02-2008 10:23 AM

I really want to hear what that kid's speaking voice sounds like.

classicman 02-04-2008 08:43 PM

Shawnee123 02-05-2008 08:19 AM

Bodhisattva

Another Steely favorite, but the video is cool because of the hand thingies. I think someone posted the hand thingies before.

"Rock This Bitch" by Ben Folds with the Western Australia Symphony Orchestra

Jacquelita 02-11-2008 08:28 PM

great song - fun video because of Michael's dancing

Flint 02-18-2008 10:21 PM

Nevermind. "This video is no longer available" even though I'm watching it right now in another tab.

Flint 02-18-2008 10:25 PM

Let's try this again. Remember Contra?

Mas Que Nada

Sweet!

lumberjim 02-23-2008 03:20 PM

This song is kind of lame, but it helps me to illustrate something about vocals. I have always liked the SOUND of the words over the message they convey. I cant understand what the hell this guy is saying, but he's using his voice as an instrument.

Jacquelita 02-23-2008 03:48 PM

I think Stevie is one of those singers who uses her voice like an instrument...
