'Merkins near Michigan, be afraid. Hector will be on the road next winter/christmas break :eek: :lol:
Hebe drove us all to the airport and back tonight. busy freeways, night/dusk driving, multistory parking, with barriers and ticket machines.... the works. (only shaved a few years off my life) |
Way to go, Hebe.

wow. driving.
wow. that's... that's some tradeoff, those years, y'know. I'm so glad all is well. Congrats to her for driving and for being certified as a lifeguard. lifeguarding paid most of my young adult bills and it's great work. good luck to her! |

He said I should tell you that for two days he followed one around, up and down the river. Sam said he thought the fish was crazy. A fisherman had caught one of the tagged fish, and put the tag into his backpack. |
That's priceless. :smack::haha:

My son is influenced too much by M's parents...they listen to shitty new country music, and then he comes home singing the crap.
One day he started singing one of those terrible tunes...rather than beat him into submission by playing "Seasons in the Abyss" by Slayer (as I have before), I said, "Son, you need to listen to some real country music." So I put on The Essentially Johnny Cash. And he dug it. The last time we were in the car together, he asked if we could listen to the Man in Black. See that pip on my collar? ;) |
Be calm, Syc.
Earworms happen. I'm singing Ding Dong the Witch is Dead just because it's all over the news. Not the song, just the title [being discussed as it's racing up the charts after Thatcher's death]. |

Or go the other direction with the worst you can find.
This is what cured me: Of course, this might work too: |
You build a simple progression.

I played Queens of the Stone Age one time when we went to Topeka and back...he enjoyed that too.
Now I just have to make him a Mizzou fan instead of fucking KU... |
Nice work Clod. :) I'll have a slice please!

Right thread, Ali?

I'm proud of my boy. I have no idea where it came from, but he's on a huge AC/DC kick right now. Last weekend we went camping with Boy Scouts, and I let the boys in the back seat control the iPod for the drives out and back. It was mostly hard rock the entire way. Well, that and Barenaked Ladies. They just kept playing the into to a live song over and over again so they could hear the band being introduced and snicker at the name. Oh, to be 11 again.
