Are you joking, or have you seriously never heard of these people?

Are we just making people up and adding them to Wikipedia? Are we naming funny sounding relatives?

backatcha, buddy. try this one and take it from there:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloria_Stuart

Most deathpools use the rule that it has to be reported natoinally in the star's country of fame, not "known to the egotistical maniac who first started the thread that year". Just because you in your little backwater of california have not heard of someone doesn't make them not a celebrity. I'm quite impressed you've heard of all my picks, actually. :p

Just because a celebrity hasn't been on Oprah, doesn't mean they're not celebrities. Also, spouses sometimes become celebrities by virtue of their marriages, Hillary Clinton comes to mind as a person who wouldn't have gone anywhere without her husband bringing her along.

Sure looks like a hefty dose of research into E-list celebs can take all of the Fun out of the Death Pool.

it was so much fun before

it's spelled "McCormick" btw

you bastards

Sundae 01-01-2009 02:46 PM

Uh-uh UT.
Don't you be callin me no bastard. [Looking for a talk to the hand smiley]

I admit, some of mine might not be known worldwide, but I am happy to be called on them (Clive Dunn, Norman Wisdom, Patrick Moore - all titled as far as I remember).

But I think it is reasonable to ask that the death of Death List members should be expected to be reported in the national press of the country of origin of the poster. Okay - that puts us Brits at an advantage in a way (as we'll have both ours and ours) but also at a disadvantage as we'll have less news of the health of some of yours when creating our lists.

I hope the matter will lie there. RIP.

Is Tara Reid still kickin'? I think I put her on there.

I just posted in the Celeb Deaths topic that I was saddened by Ted Kennedy's death. Then, I received an email from my Death Pool mod saying that he scored me 62.69 points.
