There is not 'part' to play, it is only me. I received much negative posts about my English langage skills. So, when my assistent is here, she will read my post before I send it on board. This way it is proper. However, she can not always be here with me.

Hope that clear things up.

Thank you for your understanding,
Pam.

Stormieweather 04-22-2011 02:40 PM

For hearing....deafness. The assistant umm...

....nevermind.

Sundae 04-22-2011 02:40 PM

Her assistent helps her hear things.
Oops, Stormie got there first. But with the wrong spelling.

Pam is very poor and all alone - but she has an assistant. And wine or vodka and happy pills. And the interwebz.

See? Pam is not as dumb as you think!

She may get very angry and wish to speak with Mr. Undertoad, but she is poor and alone and deaf so, please, cry for Pam.

Cry.

Sundae 04-22-2011 02:54 PM

Ya got me IM. Now corrected. Ridiculous.
(I mean me)

Bri I am actually really impressed that poor foreign deaf girls can come to the US, be unemployed, have personal assistents and the interwebs and locks on their doors and alcofrolics and everything.

Please clear our your spare room, I expect to arrive next week.

Oh, shoot - forgot I have a job I adore now.
Okay, expect me first week in August.
But I expect all of the above AND that we meet Monster & IM and go to that big theme park somewhere in Ohio.
That can't be too much to ask. Monnie can even bring Pam.

Oh, didn't you know?

That's part of our Mission Statement. Goes like this:

"We, the People, in order to form a more perfect union, are recruiting the unemployed deaf to come to the U.S. We provide room, board, computer, net, personal assistant, vodka and/or wine, "happy pills," personal hygeine products (hope Aveda is ok?) and abusive ex (gives you something to rant about). Also - please feel free to critique American women, our national roads and bridges system AND our utter lack of empathy. Remember! You must be deaf! But not completely deaf. Near-deaf is ok, too.

infinite monkey 04-22-2011 03:06 PM

Mission Statement. :lol2:

I was going to ask (it came to me as I was getting ready for work): pam, how do you afford deodorant and soap and toothpaste and all those millions of things that people need that cost money?

I am deeply hurt. and I mean that. But, I will not fall for your trick about me. You and others are waiting for me to get mad and upset. This time i chosen to 'turn the tables' (American expression I learned from TV) and not get emotional. And no, I will not complain to Mr. undertoad.

go ahead, make fun of the 'deaf girl' as you call me...

I'm getting training in BSL.
The older males in my family are mostly deaf.
I have hearing difficulties.

Calling you deaf girl is a statement of fact.
And a hope that you will be offended enough to take your faux-misery-peddling somewhere else, given that it worked on another forum.

I can call you a stupid jizz-bucket if you prefer?

monster 04-22-2011 03:17 PM

BSL employs both hands for the alphabet. ASL we just use the one so the other hand is free to...well, you know.

I have major finger envy of anyone who signs. I can manage basic phrases now, but am constantly bugging the more able teachers/ LTAs for words I commonly use.
I love ther fact that (in BSL) Mrs O is so easy. As we're dealing with 4-5 year olds it's completely acceptable just to use the first letter of your surname.

I'm not usually worried about people less fortuante. But I do check forums for people I think are being false. And that's how I came across you.
