i have serious doubts about nicotinegun's membership in the military, in general, and his presence in Iraq, specifically. just smells a little too much like a troll.

that may not be fair though. i've spent my years in the military associating with people that are actually able to analyze and synthesize info without making kneejerk reactions, but i'm sure there are a number of inbreeders who enjoy oversimplifying every issue to a soundbyte of blame. hell, somebody has to work the Public Affairs office, right?

As an aside, I must say NICOTINEGUN does seem to have pretty free internet access above and beyond most of what our guys serving in Iraq generally have. But what do I know? Maybe they now give 1000 hours of free AOL issued with every tank. :rolleyes:

it depends on what his job is. when i was there many of the guys on the base were limited to 10 minute morale calls and intermittent computer access, but because of my job i always had the ability to call stateside unlimited and always had internet access. not everyone drives a tank or is a trigger puller.

It's my day off, Sister. But, like Lookout said, it does depend on what your job title is. I was recon for four years, so I've done my time. I can assure you, just because I'm not a shooter does not mean I'm not being shot at. I'm lucky. Yes, I'm on the computer. No, I don't kick down doors. However, I do get mortars dropped on my head. concrete, more stable, less easy to get through, it would create more jobs. Additionally we could implement my Baboons on Patrol Program. I would love a wall...and good military guarding it.
