Audiogalaxy is back up and running

Seriously, and I have info that this time it will be fixed for good, and also it will have some changes.
Just informing the AG'ers here.

zippyt 04-08-2006 10:28 PM

about FUCKING time !!!!!

Torrere 04-08-2006 10:28 PM

It's Rhapsody.

Audiogalaxy is dead. Remember the day we mourned?

TiddyBaby 04-08-2006 10:38 PM

I support Rhapsody.... (well it doesn't hurt I also have software that records anything my puter plays, even if the complete albums available/played aren't suppose to be downloaded)

Mostly, I can use Rhapsody for better sound sample or just digging around out of curiosity, than say, those micky mouse lo-fi crap that Allmusic or Amazon sends you to.

TiddyBaby 04-08-2006 10:43 PM

@ WHIP. who the hell are you at AG? I've tried recalling your posting style, you use here, but I can't get a handle on it.

TiddyBaby 04-08-2006 11:16 PM

I went to AG ... hahahah the whole thing was white paged, (either that or they finally wised up and just blocked my whole isp address)

But check this out.... you can still download a satillite

You'll never know
I'll never say :headshake
You'll never guess

Also ...AG is also going through construction, Micheal is changing things around, so there will be glitches till he is finished, but in the end, it will run.

I hope its ok if i also can stick around here   :sniff: :right: ???

I haven't and don't intend to.
I also attend more intelectual sites, so I'm kind of used to behaving.

wolf 04-09-2006 12:58 AM

That pretty much matches my impression so far.

I thought it was sweet that you thought to ask, actually. Guess they still teach manners up in the Great White North.

Kagen4o4 04-09-2006 01:15 AM

ooooh DONT piss in the pool. well maybe if you made it a little warmer i wouldnt have to!

You never even actually made it onto my ignore list, and given the Romper Room ambiance here of late that's saying something.

Cheyenne 04-09-2006 03:36 PM

I may stay just to see if i can make your list :p

lumberjim 04-09-2006 05:03 PM

you might stay cuz that site sucks ass.

gawd. i went to the groups to see what it was like.....dayum. tha'ts horrible. no wonder you all (well, not all) had such a tough adjustment. 2 pages of one line posts, 'lol's', 'you suck's, and not much content.

stay because the cellar is much much better, not just to piss off maggie.

i'm glad whip is staying, too.

what about the rest of you? did you miss ag, or does it look lame now in contrast?

skysidhe 04-09-2006 09:07 PM

I wouldn't feel I had to go in to all this if my privacy had been respected by agers but that has never been the case.
I unverified all my names a year ago.

Bait and be baited was a hard habit to put down. I liked some agers but most I couldn't understand. I am sorry for that. I am not sorry to leave all the hacking, lying and smearing gossip which they are obviously not able to let go of still. weird.

I wanted a forum to have a fun and play. I place that used mutual respect without all this residual tension. I thought this place seemed to be respectful enough to it's members. I appologize again for it spilling over here. It didn't have to.

I am wondering who after a year of being gone is still obsessed enough with me to care who skysidhe was. ?????? As if revealing a user who left AG for the kind of things AG is infamous for might rub off here. My baaaad reputation. lol
I asked one person point blank aready how they knew with no answer as yet.

I am not upset about it. It's the usual for AG. Id just like to know who.

I was told that soundchain is where most of the agers fled. http://www.soundchain.com/index.php?...age=5&mbpage=7

@ Lumberjim. LAME!!!!!!! No contrast needed. I can just see how dysfunctional it was of me to try to bash sense into some peoples heads. Well you saw the level of communication. How embarrassing . ........... Lots of the funny cool people left with the music. I should have been smarter and left much sooner.
So some are back home huh? Oh look at what I'm missing. http://www.audiogalaxy.com/pages/mes...um&contextID=2

This idea of all people "from" a certain website acting in a collective fashion is disturbing. We might as well say all people of a certain ethnicity/religion/gender exhibit a particular negative/positive behavior. People are people (and yes, I am quoting Depeche Mode). No matter where you go, everyone has their own individual agenda. That's true here, there, and everywhere (and yes, I am quoting The Beatles).

I like both sites. Diversity of interaction encourages growth. I'll probably be posting "here" more than "there" - so get your ignore buttons warmed up if you don't like to think.

and do I think what's his name is a jerk? I don't think my personal opinion is the important thing however obvious it is. but I sure as hell think karma is grand right about now and enjoy watching skewed ideologies getting flushed.

sky, this along with a photo of yourself on your profile says: Hey, look at me!

Had you not slagged off all of ag, no one would have noticed you. No one is coming at you like they were on ag (i was unverified myself at the time), you are the one consistantly making yourself known as an "AG'er". Perhaps stop slagging ag off and you will melt into the pot in which you so desire.

No, you might as well say that people with a different culture have different cultural assumptions. Which is true.

Flint 04-10-2006 10:23 AM

@Happy Monkey: I value the individual.

Happy Monkey 04-10-2006 11:08 AM

Of course. So what?

Flint 04-10-2006 11:10 AM

I don't like "lumping" - I value the individual. That was my point.

All the above aside, it's pretty well accepted, and proven, that individuals, who may well in normal circumstances have differences and take odds with each other within their own 'society', when faced with a common cause will forget their differences and present a united front. Nothing disturbing in that - more disturbing if it was not then case.

This 'united front' is most commonly illustrated in times of war and aggression, and a less fatal example would be the way the unusual arrival (onslaught?) of the AG dwellars was countered by the members of the Cellar -you could almost in those early days describe two distinct and opposing camps and cultures - it was easy to generalise. With time the individual personalities revealed themselves and the generalisation of two distinct camps mellowed - individual views and arguments now blur and dilute the first impression of there being two separate and opposing sets of people (perhaps they could have been described as two different societies...).

So, we are all individuals who share certain ideals (our society). We don't generally feel the need to broadcast what our ideals are, we more or less take them as read and for granted by virtue of the type of people we prefer to mix with (mostly sharing simliar views and interests but capable of debating and arguing in those areas where there are differences). But if we are tested or threatened then we will certainly band together to protect our common ideals and the things we hold dear.i

Of course. But individuals distinguish themselves by how they react when moving from one set of cultural expectations to another. When all the AG people came over, they all acted in a certain way. Not because they weren't individuals, but because that's what they were used to.
Quote:

Yes, it was. Luckily, that phase is mostly over now, save for a bit of "oh, I'm so persecuted because I'm diverse and make people think and they don't like to think so they pick on me". Hopefully, that will eventually pass as well.

Flint 04-10-2006 11:34 AM

The irony, in this thread, is that I brought up website culture in reply to a former AGer who apparently had trouble fitting in at AudioGalaxy (according tho their own words - I had no idea that this was their perception). SO, the perpetuation of the subject was due to an exchange between two individuals "from" the same website.

Maybe your perception of what I meant, which is what you are describing, will pass. My original post was not sarcastic. I am serisouly advising any and all people who have a problem with me which they feel will not be able to get over to please put me on their ignore list and save themselves alot of hassle. I do not feel "picked on" in the least.

capnhowdy 04-10-2006 12:41 PM

Who cares how you feel? You have already made it clear that you don't give a shit about how anyone besides yourself feels, so unless you're asked keep your little fickle feelings to yourself, snotnose.

Don't bother with an adolescent reply because as of now you and all your little asshole nuisance clique are on my ignore list. Sissy.

capnhowdy 04-10-2006 12:45 PM

Also, if your little asshole gallery is so up and running, why not go there with your childish attitude and get the hell out of the Cellar. So there.

I love it when all the web/boardies get in a hissyfit.

But I hate it, because I don't get to play devils advocate.

Although, Im just a bigmouth observer....

This is like looking at "notecards" being passed between desks, (which could prove to be interesting, if made public)

You just missed Jochser, i'm sure he would bring you what you covet.

I don't mean to be mean. How can I stab someone in the back who never gave a rats ass?

@ Chey
THAT picture was a new one. Last year. Only a couple of people saw it who knew it was me.

I wasn't the only one slagging AG and I don't see their alt names magically appearing.

I actually like Cheyanne. Funny and I don't get mean spirited vibes at all.

um and the urchins I love are real ones. This is like a tide pool here. Many things of depth and facination. Even fun and human kindness. People are not nice there and nor do they think straight like they do here. Unless they come here. Then I'll have to leave again.

So be really twisted and I'll go.

It's all true. Logging on to the IP of that site automatically implants a virus in your brain which controls you every thought and emotion, all sense of individuality is eradicated as you become the exact sterotype which skysidhe describes. You may be thinking, isn't skysidhe also infected with this insidious mind-rot? Clever, but no. skysidhe and skysidhe alone had the antidote to the powerful voodoo magik of the unnamable website. All one needs to do is consult Occam's Razor to verify the veracity of this claim. Instantly, one is unable to imagine any alternate theories.

SteveBsjb 04-10-2006 11:04 PM

Nice schmice. People felt real at AG. And I never had a problem on that message board. If someone wanted to give me shit, I'd just ignore them (without using the ignore feature - so I could occasionally respond and frustrate if necessary), and watch them lose their power. I don't know anyone off that board, never did any extensive emailing with anyone, never IM with anyone from AG. But I liked being there because the responses felt real. Not sugar coated and always polite. Sure there was a certain screening process, you had to tune out those trolls trying to get under your skin, but that was easily done. I also screened out some super nice people too.

What threads are you reading???

Sorry to disappoint you, bur I'm having a great time here! If I wasn't, I wouldn't be here. If I understand correctly, you derive some kind of sick pleasure from your skewed perception that I am not enjoying this board? Either that, or, as usual, I have no idea what you are talking about.
