SteveBsjb 04-26-2006 07:28 AM

Sun_Sparkz 04-26-2006 07:37 AM

for the last 7 years the needle hasnt moved. 50kgs. pizza diet = 50kgs. salad diet - 50kgs

Im savouring it while it lasts.

Ibby 04-26-2006 07:40 AM

It's been a while since I last checked, but I think I'm around 135-140 pounds, at five-seven or five-eight. Maybe even five-nine by now.

lumberjim 04-26-2006 07:52 AM

I've started developing gravitational pull.

Spexxvet 04-26-2006 07:57 AM

At my wieght, I should be about 7'5" tall.

Dagney 04-26-2006 08:13 AM

Uhh, I'm bigger than a breadbasket?

Trilby 04-26-2006 09:07 AM

me too , me too bri I decline too.

I know about evil pasta. That mac and cheese at the deli is always tempting me and I give every time. It's just about a cup but we clog our arteries a cup at a time.

twentycentshift 04-26-2006 09:13 AM

i'm 6 feet 6 inches tall, so i'm SUPPOSED to weigh a lot.

that being said, i'm not tellin'.

:)

Trilby 04-26-2006 09:14 AM

Oh, and Stevebsjb? You're never going to get laid if you ask a woman how much she weighs. Just sayin'. ;)

I wanted to post what I ate on the other thread but lunch and dinner of black beans and rice.( small servings) One 8 oz cup of cola , two four ounze cups of milk and two coffees for breakfast dosn't seem too healthy like their fancy turkey wraps and such :P

wtf?

am i just being mean because she's a girl? i don't think so.

Trilby 04-26-2006 09:20 AM

lj, girls are so trained to think of themselves as fat that EVEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT FAT they 'feel' fat. She is only reacting to what society tells her. I think she said she wants to lose five pounds. I know, I know, but, we are an inclusive membership. No, we DO NOT condone nor will we assist anorexics in their self destructive drive, but, we will embrace all who come to the Weight Loss Thread. Even those who are only here for cosmetic reasons. Me, I'm fighting for my LIFE!

damn carbs!

Oh, wait. This isn't the Weight Loss Thread, is it? Well, then, fire away!

skysidhe 04-26-2006 09:22 AM

what are you talking about NOW lj? You think I am a fatty?
I think I am a fatty but I don't think the foods I eat like what you copied and posted from me warrent being on the diet thread.

I thought I deleted my weight anyway. hey...erase that!:p

skysidhe 04-26-2006 09:23 AM

looking for the mean here. Don't see it. Unless it's my crappy diet.

lumberjim 04-26-2006 09:25 AM

i don;t care how much she weighs, bri. i was poniting out the 'mee too' shit. she takes the fifth about disclosing her weight , yet she already stated it in the eating thread. she's every other frickin post, and they all say 'me too', I this ,I that, lol, or make no sense at all. she has crossed my annoying line......soon she'll hit my asshole button, and then it will get ugly. ;)

I erased it! There's that lovely 'edit' button!

oh and not to worry. I have an older brother JUST LIKE YOU.

and I have a left brain only son too SOO I do know what I am saying here.

There is nothing wrong with saying 'me too' if I hide my previous post.

right? I don't see the problem-o

If you were lurking in that thread then you should have said something. I thought I was free and clear to erase my confession. Now you've gone and made it public record.

hehe ...whatever.

eww I don't want to hit his asshole button. * holds nose*

Trilby 04-26-2006 09:36 AM

No mean. You're ok. Just, maybe a bit skinnier than us.

WELL, HELL! Now you've gone and erased it.

What are you talking about, sky?

I have to confess to being confused about some of your posts, too.

skysidhe 04-26-2006 09:44 AM

What is that suppose to mean?

Can we make suggestions proactively?

What can I do to help? because insults do nothing than drive me away and I can do that too. Life is to short and sweet to settle for less.

skysidhe 04-26-2006 09:51 AM

One might say I am being overly sensitive but I have lived through alot of abuse and lies of message boards. I refuse to be a target again. To take petty obsessions and major lies of others is just more than I want to deal with.

If the connection isn't here it just isn't here. I thought it was. I am sad to see there are aggressors here as well. I am not into it.

believe what you want.....what you think is not who I am.

There is one person who knows the truth about me from the internet. He is in that picture I posted on another thread. He was my writing partner on AG.

I hate everything that place stands for and if you are going to sink to that level I am out of here.

lumberjim 04-26-2006 09:52 AM

someone else will have to help you with the proactive suggestions. I specialize in insults, ridicule, and insightful exposure of weakness. Now, I know that crazy people have just as much right as I do to post on the cellar, but I don't have to like it.

I see now why the AG folks ran you off. You're a looney. Please don't take this the wrong way. What I really mean is that I'm convinced that you're mentally unstable. That's fine, and I wish you luck with it. Just shut the fuck up a little bit, K?

Cyclefrance 04-26-2006 09:58 AM

Only 120 lbs when married, 140 lbs fairly soon after then reached 170 lbs when a shipbroker (all those business lunches!).Since then have levelled out at 155lbs post-millennium (maintaining this helped by cycling, without a doubt!)

twentycentshift 04-26-2006 10:07 AM

lumberjim, i recognize that signature, from the stern show. too funny.

Cyclefrance 04-26-2006 10:07 AM

Jeez , while I've been busy reading page 1 and treating this as an innocent little thread all hell has broken loose.

Well maybe working a sweat up about this will help those concerned shed a few pounds. Should we start a meditation thread to calm everyone down or do you think that just might initiate a potential end to the art of meditation?

Trilby 04-26-2006 10:18 AM

If it helps any, lj thinks I'm unstable (I am) and a looney, too. That doesn't bother me. I embraced my inner (and, outer) nut case long before any of you folks noticed it. 'sall good.

ps--even though lj knows I'm unstable and nuts he still wishes me well. I appreciate that. :)

barefoot serpent 04-26-2006 10:43 AM

eh... just sit on his face and make him take a guess.

9th Engineer 04-26-2006 10:50 AM

jinx 04-26-2006 11:06 AM

Regardless of the number on the scale, is anyone here happy with their weight? Happy with how they look?

TiddyBaby 04-26-2006 11:18 AM

Why would anyone abstain from voting? It's a "secret" vote, AND no one is asking your height, or any way to calculate if you are grossly overweight.

I am. Although, I might not use the word "Happy." I'm content. Secure. Not bothered at all by my appearance. I don't spend much time preening myself either. By most people's standards, I'm too skinny. According to medical charts, I'm just on the edge of being a little too skinny, but still in the normal zone. I'm 6'2" and about 150 - 155 lbs. But I'm perfectly fine with how I look.

One thing I'm not satisfied with is that I am not as strong as I'd like. I think it would be healthy of me to build up a some muscle to help protect my joints. My knees ache a little in the last couple years. Getting older. But that complaint isn't about my appearance it's more health related.

When I was single, I was much more self-conscious about how I looked. Meeting my wife cured me of that. Her acceptance of me really meant a lot.

unstable, maybe. nuts? only when you drink and pm me ;)

it's different. you can be zany or whacky or even a little nutty.....but actual crazies are different. A lot of my perception comes from subliminal info. just trust me. she's nuts, you're not.

The spectrum is bad, a progressive 40-pound cut-off is not an adequate determination of one person's weight compared with all of us. Brianna could cover the whole 121-160 spread in one year according to her previous posts.

Don't think I haven't done it. I've gained quite a bit over the past two years.
After 35 it's really easy to pack on the pounds.

Kagen4o4 04-26-2006 10:24 PM

i weigh 74kg (162.8 lbs). i wouldnt mind weighing 80kg (176lbs), mainly for muscle weight though. im also 175cm-180cm tall.

carouselle 04-26-2006 10:34 PM

shit, sorry, after 5 years of weight gain diet I still have a BMI <19, no change whatsoever in 30 years. It's alright for you fuller figured types, there is a whole industry geared to help you ;¬\

Beestie 04-26-2006 10:51 PM

6'1 165 Haven't lost or gained an inch or a pound since '77.

Crimson Ghost 04-26-2006 11:13 PM

I'm not overweight, I'm undertall.

Ibby 04-27-2006 12:59 AM

I'm happy with my weight and build, but not with the way I look. Then again, I am a teenager, but still. If my hair was longer and my acne less, I could live with it I guess. But honestly, I don't reeeeally care that I'm ugly, because my girlfriend who means more to me than anything else in the world claim's I'm the hottest person she has ever seen, and, though I far from agree, need no more than that. I don't need to impress anyone else with my looks, eh?

EDIT: oh, and why does skysidhe always post in pairs? No, skysidhe, I'm not picking a fight, I'm not that kind of person (today... tomorrow I may be an asshole again, it comes and goes), I'm just asking. as you can see, instead of making a whole new post, I, at least, edit my last post and add to it as I am now, so I don't double-post.

NoBoxes 04-27-2006 02:43 AM

I thought that I was gaining weight after I kept spending more and more on gasoline to drive myself around; but, it turned out to be a false alarm. I'm still the same :); however, my wallet is becoming lighter. :sniff: Soon, I may have to start loosing weight so that my wallet will stay the same!

Torrere 04-29-2006 03:00 PM

I'm about 6'4" tall.

In High School I weighed about 165 pounds. After a year of lifting weights and a summer of hard labor, that turned to 210 pounds.

I'm satisfied with how I look but I would like to run and climb and weight-lift and fight more.

and I think my weight makes balancing on the slack line more difficult.

elSicomoro 04-29-2006 03:39 PM

My weight has always been a yo-yo situation. Since being diagnosed with a heart condition in January 2005, it has been the foremost thing on my mind.

Recently, I've finally figured out how to eat properly--that is, to take my time and enjoy what I eat. When I used to go to Subway, it was nothing to eat a footlong sub, a bag of chips, a medium soda and possibly a cookie. Now, it's a 6-inch sub and a half-bag of chips. I either keep the mayo light (but won't eat light mayo--don't like it) or go with mustard.

I'm still having a problem figuring out when I'm full. In addition, I have a hard time not cleaning my plate. But I'm getting better.

I'm very fortunate...my blood pressure is a bit high as is my cholesterol, but no diabetes. My only goal right now is to just eat better...the weight loss will follow.

Stress Puppy 04-29-2006 04:33 PM

I was last weighed in at 150.5lbs (at five feet nine inches) which is the most I have ever weighed. I'm trying to get into a workout routine, since I'm not nearly as active as I used to be, but it's hard when I have so many excuses to be lazy.

Started (again) today, and I'm really going to do my best to get off my ass tomorrow morning and do it again. As much as it's easy to say "I'm too tired today" I can't deny how awesome I feel after a good workout. Getting those endorphins going and all.

I don't really believe that there is a certain weight people should be at any height or whatever. You can be big and still be healthy. I think people should just work for what they want to be.

JayMcGee 04-29-2006 07:00 PM

I've always weighed around 8 and a half stones.....

(no idea what that is pounds - you do the maths, maybe it'll make you think twice about dumping our tea next time...)

You should do it. I did it last year. I'm 6'3", went from 240 to 210 last year, never felt better. And you get to put on that size 34 waist pair of pants you've been saving for years, "just in case".
