the saddest commercial i've ever seen
Thank you Rexmons.
Very, very beautiful and touching. Pass the tissues. |
Pretty risky behavior for the baby.
in tha rice paddy with tha whooosh whooosh, pickn tha rice with tha mom...
I need to make that video for my son. I meant to after the last stroke.
Ummm... maybe I missed the translation.. what was the commercial for? Some kind of insurance?
Yeah, a life insurance company.
I did not find it sad at all.
I found it horribly manipulative. Hate ads like that.

I think that depends on whether or not the dead soldier has been identified. So, using their names on t-shirts surely cannot be right unless permission has been given. Flag draped coffins though have a potential anonymity. If what's being shown is a coffin with a flag over it and there's no way anybody could tell whose coffin it is, then it becomes a purely representative picture.
What I really dislike is people using consumers' fears as a means of persuading them to part with their cash. |

Well in my case personally, anyway. |
We are not subjects nor citizens but consumers

I thought the idea of advertising was to manupulate... silly me.
The choice is always yours. How else does one show the point of life insurance? |
They're making sad commercials just to stir people's heart and convince them to join in their company. There's another Thai commercial, it's about a voiceless father. You can check it on youtube.

:welcome: to the Cellar Matti!
hello Matti!
Holy thread resurrection Batman!
Okay... five years later did anyone change their mind on the topic?
This thread should have had life insurance.
