More Dwellar paths crossing!
This afternoon the Fobble family had a surprise visit from Flint and Pooka! We went out to lunch at Kerbey Lane Cafe, and learned that they may even be moving to our fair city at some point in the near future, depending on how the various employment options pan out. Their kids stayed home with family for this trip, but it was a lovely visit nonetheless, and hopefully we'll get to see the little ones next time.
I am ashamed to admit that no pictures were taken. Next time, I promise! |
Yay. Thats wonderful.
|
I musthave missed this when it was first posted. Sounds like a fun meet up :)
|
Unlike ours last weekend where we got dumped by Pizza Cart-o for a better prospect ;)
|
Damnit, we didn't take pictures again when Clodfobble and I had lunch a few weeks ago.
Well, now we have to, because Pooka found me a t-shirt for the Cellar Bar at the thrift store (the Cellar Bar is a real bar in Fort Worth). So basically, we need to get as many Cellar people as we can together at some point this summer, in Austin Texas, so you can all have your picture taken with me in my Cellar t-shirt. . . . Put this on your bucket list--do you hear me, Cellar? |
I'll be in Texas...in Dallas...in September...

Do you think your heart could stand the stress? :haha:

I'm willing to risk it.

I'm not making this up--it's right here on the Cellar! Ladies, don't say another girl is pretty unless you want a bunch of dudes expecting you to kiss each other on the mouth. And then, like, have a pillow fight /slash/ tickle party. |

And then, the spanking!

:joint: I should warn you that I have boundary issues... that is to say I seem to not have them.
Yay for me! Summer in Austin is going to be fun! ;) But wait... Who is gonna watch the kids? |
I've heard CCTV has come on in leaps and bounds...?
|
Pics or it might not will have been going to be happening.
i can't get my tenses right on this one |
I'm getting a little tense thinking about it, myself.
|
Seriously though, the wife and kids will be visiting my little den of iniquity, i.e. IT Contractor's apartment in Austin, Texas the weekend of Memorial Day. Since the mini-Mama is off of Kindergarten on Monday, they'll be comin' round the mountain to enjoy a long weekend with Papa--wherein the kids will believe they are 'on vacation' as they are sleeping in a different place than normal.
Oh my God I think I'm drunk and I just wrote a whole paper on Organizational Behavior in basically the tone seen above. Please think I'm funny, paper graders! |
Ooh! We have really good pools in our neighborhood. Come bring the littl'uns swimming! Maybe I can even talk Mr. Clod into cooking hamburgers on the grill or something.
|
Plenty of plain white t-shirts are good too.
|
Clodfobble, hey, totally, let's do this. The troops will be down that weekend, so let's talk before then to arrange. Or better yet, private message me for Pooka's number and y'all can coordinate directly, since I just show up wherever she has me scheduled anyway...
|
Will do! I already have Pooka's number, I'll call closer to the holiday weekend.
Ha! I just noticed someone added the tags "girls kissing" and "moral relativism" to this thread. Very funny. |
Who would do such a thing?!
Tsk tsk, Cellar. All of y'all are on report. |
Attaboy! Can't wait! And yes... we will use our technology to capture images this time ;-)
|
('Attaboy, Tsk Tsk' is a sketch on Comedy Bang Bang)
|
Yah, get some pictures this time, whydontcha.
If you could all pose in YMCA letter style, and spell the word Cock, that would be worth 5 points each. Just don't tell the kids what it spells. |

Look look, pictures!
Well, okay, a picture of the kids anyway. The Fobbles and Pflints (Flookas?) had a lovely Memorial Day weekend get together. We were supposed to go to the local pool and grill outside, but it was raining all day. So instead we broiled inside, and the kids got to bounce on the wet trampoline in their swimsuits, with the spray hose augmenting where the rain had let up. Plus, there were cookies and Bloody Marys! I daresay a fantastic time was had by all. |
PFlints or the Flookas ?????
HA , Oh that Started my day Just right !!!! |
Yay. That looks awesome.
|
Good times!
|
Pflints is nice.
Sounds Welsh. Kiddoes look so happy, and why not? I'd love to jump around on a trampoline while being hosed down (no, nothing dirty intended) even now. It would have made me even more giddy with joy as a child. Good on you parents. |
Bloody Mary? I love her.
"I want the bomb, I want the PFlint, I want my Flook uncut, don't want my Flook stepped on..." |
footfootfoot, thanks for being my dj.
|
CF, thank you for the happy pictures!
I've partied with their elders; I know the were having genuine fun. I love the idea of the kids incorporating the rain into their idea of a good time, that makes me happy. I'm glad y'all had a good time too. |
Full disclosure: I think I had most of the Bloody Marys.
The kids got their groove on, the Fobbles hooked us up with some grilled vittles (even bleu-cheese-stuffed wieners--this is not a joke); Mrs. Fobble made almond cookies (mini-Pooka informed me that the same happend at the Pflooka house today as well--those cookies are awesome); we checked out the Fobbles wall (literally) of sci-fi, and manga collection (want to guess if Ghost in the Shell precipitated a Ray Kurzweil discussion?); and a bunch of other neat stuff. We had mega fun-time USA, all right! Thank Gawd one of us finally remembered how to use a camera. And thank you, Fobbles, for a wonderful time! You rock! |
Man, you guys put the N in envious.
I don't know. |
