Long time, no posts

Just thought I'd update y'all about what I've been doing since I moved back to CA from AZ in January.
I live near downtown Los Angeles now, near MacArthur Park, in a VERY small apartment but it's comfortable for me and easy to get around to the places I like to go.

My first job I got was as a call center quality control specialist. lol
I would listen in to the callers as they spoke to businesses around the country and tried to make the appointments for the sales people to show up and try to sign the businesses up for their credit card processing system. IT SUCKED but it was only part time. 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, for $9.50 per hour. (did you know call centers and sales reps LIE?)
Well, on August 16th, they told our whole department we were no longer needed as of the 17th. I guess, QUALITY was NOT job one there! They gave us the option of becoming callers. No thanks.
So I was out of work for about 3 weeks and about ready to move in with my sisters back in New Jersey when I got a call from a temp agency.
I now work at a TV broadcasting facility (It used to be owned by Playboy, they still have some facilities here). I'm the accountant. lol I never was one before but I know the databases they use and that's why they hired me. I actually love it here and hope the job becomes permanent but they are thinking about moving all their accounting to their main office in Atlanta.
The job is 24 hours per week and I only work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. And the pay is almost twice what the call center paid.
This with my other part time job, working from home running a few web sites for a friend of mine, are working out good for me, so far. :-)

That's about all for now. Other than, where I live seems to be be Twinks with daddy issues central!

It's so good to hear from you, Shel! Sounds like you've been thrown around a bit but you've come out on the other side. You're an inspiration! :)

Undertoad 10-04-2013 09:53 AM

The people love you man, thanks for checking in

Lamplighter 10-04-2013 10:00 AM

Yes Sheldon, glad you're back among the dwellars.

jimhelm 10-04-2013 10:44 AM

Hi, Sheldon.

good to hear from you

glatt 10-04-2013 10:48 AM

Sheldon! Great to hear from you.

BigV 10-04-2013 11:28 AM

I don't know about "the people", what the hell do "they" know? But *I've* missed you man. I'm very glad to hear your update and I sure hope you can make a success of it in twink central. I used to work in Lawndale, so I have some familiarity with the area. That was in a different century, though, so I'm sure much has changed.

Regardless, it's great to hear from you again, I look forward to more posts from you.

ps, I was joking about the people, man. You really are loved around here. You were missed. Welcome back.

Sundae 10-04-2013 12:19 PM

Sheldon it's great to hear from you, chap!
Glad things have turned around, although there must have been some hairy moments, and not the good type.

Funny how everywhere you go you meet plenty of Daddy-loving twinks. Ever considered you're just sex on legs :)

Thanks for letting us know you're okay.
Hope to see more of you now. The NSFW thread needs you for a start!

Gravdigr 10-04-2013 02:28 PM

SHELDON!!! It is great to hear from you! Really. I've missed you, and your wit.

Sure, sure... any chance the abundance of twinks is because they're hoping to make it big in the, ah, "web site" world? ;) Glad to hear from you!

Hello Sheldon. Can I call you Shel, can I, huh? (big dog little dog)What is meant by-'where I live seems to be be Twinks with daddy issues central!' just curious..

monster 10-04-2013 09:48 PM

hey Sheldon, good to hear from you :). Think about you every time I drive past the Sheldon exit on the M14 (don't get excited, that's only been once since last March, but that was Tuesday ;)

Sheldon is Gay. Yes, with a capital G. He's also 50 something. You figure the rest out.

Sheldonrs 10-05-2013 08:31 AM

Thanks guys! It's good to be back on here!

:)

richlevy 10-05-2013 08:44 AM

Glad to here you moved out of Arizona. I didn't really picture the state as very gay friendly. Listening to some of their politicians and their governor, they sound crazier than politicians from Texas.

xoxoxoBruce 10-05-2013 09:13 AM

Yes, but the up side of a hostile environment is friends and lovers are less likely to make a public scene if they get pissed.

Sheldon, sorry I missed this thread. I'm sorry I missed your birthday. Happy belated one. Sorry to hear about the tough times. Glad thinks are looking up.

Are you saying there are a lot of Twinkies out there? We still don't see them around here much. Do they have Ding-Dongs or Ho-Hos???

Gravdigr 10-18-2013 03:33 PM

Sundae 10-18-2013 03:51 PM

An entrepimpneur.

Clodfobble 10-18-2013 09:05 PM

Hey Shel, I have a terminology question. A friend of mine's dad is in his 60s with a husband in his 30s (same age as his daughter.) Is he still a twink with daddy issues if he's middle-aged, or do twinks graduate into something else when they're no longer super slim and fashionable?

A twink is usually an 18-25 year old, skinny
Guy with little to no body hair.

What your friend' dad has is a younger man. :)

Clodfobble 10-19-2013 12:40 PM

Bah! I refuse to accept that there is no derogatory term for marrying someone the same age as your kid. I shall have to just call him a trophy husband. I actually have no idea if he's good-looking or not, but I do know he can bake fantastic cakes, so I'll assume that his pastry skills are the equivalent of youthful hotness in this case. :)

xoxoxoBruce 10-19-2013 03:55 PM

Cradle robber?

Gravdigr 10-19-2013 04:54 PM

Lucky?

plthijinx 10-19-2013 05:17 PM

BAhahaha! I love all y'all but sometimes i just laugh and ! he's not a trophy and not a twink. He IS his soul mate. and that right there my friends.......is happiness!

BigV 10-23-2013 12:38 AM
