Asked my bro if he wants it for Christmas - he does.

He's trying to work out how he wants it. He thinks he prefers a DVD even if it is an American one, because although all-region player has packed up they're getting a new one ASAP.

But as they go to America at least once a year, and his parents-in-law twicet, I may be better off to get them to buy it rather than me anyway. No shipping. It wouldn't arrive until after Christmas anyway.

Glad to have flagged it up to him though.

I've mentioned that Bill Watterson's brother was a debate teacher at my high school, right? I'm sure I have. The debate team t-shirts featured non-Calvin artwork created by him. Very generous guy.

glatt 10-17-2013 07:57 AM

What do they put in the water at your high school? You have so many celebrity stories about that place.

Clodfobble 10-17-2013 08:06 AM

I think it's more the city. My high school is just the biggest, most central school in the area. Plus, I have a fascination with who people were before they were famous, so I latch onto the stories and remember them.

My only story was that Patrick Dempsey is from my hometown. He went to the Catholic high school, and I went to the public school, so we didn't go to school together. But I went to a dance over there once, so we attended the same high school dance. I had seen him around, but didn't know him.

Good story, huh?

footfootfoot 10-17-2013 02:18 PM

Who's Patrick Dempsey?

Grey's Anatomy? You mean the book? I studied that in high school biology. I don't remeber that guy, it was mostly just engravings of body parts.

Gravdigr 10-18-2013 04:25 PM

Perhaps you've seen some of his parts?

BigV 11-15-2013 02:57 PM

WOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!
