Bbro's photos
I decided to do a separate thread so I could show you all my photos. The camera thread will continue being about actual camera stuff, though :)
I read something from a national geographic photographer that said to take your camera off multi-shot. It makes you think about the shot more. You are more careful about what pictures you take. I decided to go with this today when I was hiking and ended up with a lot of good shots. I like this method. The only time it failed was when I was trying to get a good picture of a heron. |

Attachment 55740 Many colors of violas Attachment 55741 I don't know what this one is, sadly Attachment 55742 Valentine Attachment 55743 Okay, I'm done now. It was really hard to narrow it down this time. There were a lot of good ones. I wish I could just upload all of them :) |
By jove, I think you've got it. Bravo.
However I must disagree, it's too bad more pottys don't look like fairy tales. ;) |
Picture one in post 22 is your best shot. Good composition, good contrast of color and light. Keeps the eye moving around the path.
|
|
Thanks Bruce!
LJ - That's one of my favorite shots. I actually was sitting next to the plant when I took the picture |
Yeah the Japanese fatsia really caught my eye. It won't survive here though...
I like that Mexican Rosebud as well. |

This is one if the reasons postulated for orchids being so admired. A subconscious thing. |

Nice pics, Bbro!
Yes I see it! Teensiest dragonfly, evah! |

Actually, someone told me that it's a damselfly. Similar to a dragonfly, bit teeny!! Also, the moth is a Lunar Moth. |

The sun and boat was early morning. I was playing with Manual settings, so I don't know if that was how it actually looked, but I think it came out badass. It didn't look that good on the camera itself which is weird. I don't know if I could do it again if I tried - lol. I think it's partially becoming more confident in using Manual settings or auto with no flash. Being more aware of the light around you. The aquarium ones are a little foggy because the water was foggy - lol. There's one of a large orange fish that looked cool, too. It was hard picking the favorites! Honestly, if anyone is really interested, I can share the link over PM |

I FINALLY got back out there this past weekend. I went on a short 2 mile hike with a friend. Then, a 5.6 mile hike on my own. I am still going through pics from the second hike, but here's some from the first.

I was trying to get the gradation of green to purple. Not sure if it worked, but I liked it.
Attachment 57624 I just like these guys Attachment 57625 I was focused on the healthy bloom at first, but I like it this way instead. The dried flower in focus with the green bloom still maturing and the full white bloom in the background Attachment 57626 |

I had wanted a different picture, but my battery was low and my camera wouldn't work anymore. By the time I changed, it was gone. I got this one instead, though.
