how many different sexual partners have you had?

I only listed 0 for tomas rueda in case he gets back on. this poll does not allow for the 'divide male answers by 2, mulitply females by 3' rule, so be honest.

and your thoughts on what this says about you and others?

zippyt 07-10-2004 08:15 PM

Wild times in the PI !!!!!
There was a time in my life when i beleved
" the piece of ass you pass up is the piece you never had "
after a few DR visits i am glad i passed up some of them .
But hey 3 young naked phillapino chickes in a bath tub on stage is hard to pass up !!! :yelgreedy

Sure, you're the one with 51 - 100, right? (Just kidding!) ;)

SteveDallas 07-12-2004 12:08 PM

I'm not trying to be a smartass (well, OK, maybe just a little)... but.. just curious... after 15 or 20 or so isn't it a bit hard to keep an accurate count?

jaguar 07-12-2004 12:14 PM

This needs to be weighted against age ;)
Maybe stacyv is the 50-100 or 100+.

ladysycamore 07-12-2004 12:16 PM

Is this one of those things where you have to define "sex" (personally, I say it's intercourse, just to separate oral, mutual masterbation, etc.), but you know how people are, especially after the whole Clinton affair. ;)

*chuckling at Jim and his sex questions/curiousity* :p

Yes.

dar512 07-12-2004 01:07 PM

It's true, I'm old and married. But I admit to being flabbergasted by some of the larger numbers. I would be way too scared of AIDS/other STDs to participate that freely these days.

Considering the age of some of the patrons here, I wouldn't be surprised to find a correlation with age.

Older towards the lower numbers, middle groups towards the higher numbers, and younger towards the middle numbers.

jaguar 07-12-2004 01:30 PM

Ladysyc has a point here, what are we counting? i'm surprised by the high number of 1-5s, i would have expected the bell curve to top around the 16-30 mark.

elf 07-12-2004 01:34 PM

Y'know. . . *sigh* I'm a slut.

Ok, not anymore. But I was. A while back. Late teenaged/early twenties, you know, when you're invincible. But I have to be honest and tell you that I have no idea how many men I've been to bed with. Upwards of eighty, at the very very least. I put 100+ because if it isn't actually, it might as well be. :yelsick:

I'm so lucky I didn't die of something nasty.

(I have to start replying to posts unrelated to sex occasionally. Really.)

P.S. I'm in my early thirties for those tallying the correlations

wolf 07-12-2004 01:54 PM

You're the woman in the three-way, right?

Not that it reflects badly on you, but we'd expect your numbers to be higher.

lumberjim 07-12-2004 02:15 PM

i was thinking actual intercourse.

and lsyc, you're not curious about sex? it seems like the one topic that is underdiscussed here. i know you're all perverts. y'all must have "other" boards where you get that out of your systems.

i'm in the 1-5 group, personally. late bloomer, and i think i put a little bit more weight on it(sex) when i was younger than i would today. there were opportunities missed that i let go by because of my vision of the 'next morning'.....lessee...Jen C...definitely could have gotten her, but she had issues. Scary Sherri.....great bod, pretty, totally invited me upstairs at a party, but...her name was Scary Sherri for a reason....i think i've blocked the rest out.....

lookout123 07-12-2004 02:19 PM

i'm in the 50-100 category. actually it is in the low 80's. i don't think that this is a really good thing, mind you. but i really enjoyed the air force and i bartended at college. for those of you who aren't aware - it is very easy to be the cute, charming one at 3 am when all the girls are annoyed by the shitfaced football players. and i was mystified to find out that the rich chicago girls screwed on a "referral basis"

Being an elder, I disagree. We near-deaths had Woodstock, sex drugs and Rock and Roll, and overseas R&R with weeklong orgies and not a care in the world about AIDS and other STD's as they were not on the front page news... not to mention returning to college in the late 60's / early 70's with much more of the same thing happening on a nightly basis. Free love, Man!
Bong parties! Iron Butterfly! Crosby Stills Nash and Young! Jimi Hendrix! *Ahh, it was good to be young then*

Must work like that the world over, at least for rich upper class cliques, I've come across it in two cities.

I was counting you(your group) in the middle(ish) group. Just after the last group with sense...

hot_pastrami 07-12-2004 03:04 PM

I waited a long time... I had several intentionally missed opportunities to do the deed sooner, but the culture around here in Utah, even among non-Mormons like myself, generally dictates that sex = long term commitment. Since I hadn't yet met a girl I was ready to commit myself to for the long haul, my bedpost remained notch-free. I was also a bit tethered by a near-crippling shyness in my younger days, which contributed to the delay.

In my early 20s I came out of my shell quite a bit, and shook off a lot of the culture-instilled predispositions. The change occured quite rapidly, and the first woman to encounter the New, Improved Hot Pastrami was a thirty-something Russian woman who hardly let me out of the bedroom for three months. She wasn't the last woman who used me for naught but bedroom antics, which made me feel used, so I gravitated back to the tendency to avoid sexual relations. That trend remained until I met my wife.

So, I had a brief swinger period, proceeded and followed by successful self-restraint.

Dear penthouse, I was a shy guy in my early 20s.........

lumberjim 07-12-2004 03:19 PM

Ah, i think i see a new forum being born. first we have to come up with a nickname for undertoad that conotates sex, and then a sexy toad logo to put on air fresheners and tshirts. then we can have our very own sex story forum. undersexedtoad? underthecoverstoad? underchoad? help me out here, im struggling

Thats a part of the story I hadn't heard before.

lumberjim 07-12-2004 05:25 PM

i'm sure it was strictly platonic. she probably needed interior decorating advice. you know how hard it is to pick the right wallpaper/carpet/bedding/windowtreatments. And you know what a natural talent HP has for that kind of thing. it should be fairly obvious that that's what was going in. oooo....did I say in? I meant on.

D'oh... It does sound like that. But mine's a true story. I'm not really proud of it though... as fun as it may sound, it wasn't particularly good for the self-esteem to be blatantly used, even for sex. And the lifestyle is troublesome... I was basically tiptoing through a minefield, I stepped right on one, and it was a real learning experience. Don't ask, don't ask. :)

But in the end, it worked out well. I met the girl of my dreams after I'd put all that behind me. I regret nothing, because a different path would have led me to a different place.

Hi honey! You knew she was thirty-something and Russian, so you must be referring to the "hardly let me out of the bedroom for three months" part. It's an obvious exaggeration, I was just attempting to illustrate the single-mindedness of her interest.

There are certain things that married men don't discuss when their wives occasionally frequent a web board...or didn't you guys know that yet?

I keep no secrets from my wife, as a strict policy. Well, unless it's a romantic, organized surprise of some kind. Or a gift. But that's just me.

lumberjim 07-12-2004 07:06 PM

yup. depends entirely on the wife in question. I can and do tell jinx everything. now, if i had married stacey......i think i'd be a little more clandestine, and only talk in a foreign language or something. ;)

Elspode 07-12-2004 10:26 PM

I've always found it a no win situation. Tell a story online you forgot to tell her, and she thinks you were hiding it from her. Tell a story online you did tell her and she thinks you are reliving a fond memory and you like it better than her. Tell a stretcher and she'll narc you out.

Nah...I voted in the poll, but that was anonymous.

zippyt 07-12-2004 11:14 PM

I agree with HP , truth is best. My wife and I had a frank talk befor we got married.

And I had an AIDS test for the first few years we were togather.

Sun_Sparkz 07-12-2004 11:34 PM

If you are with someone, does it really matter how many previous partners they have had?

I am in the 1-5 bracket, and for my age and stage - i think thats quite enough!! If i was with a partner who had substatially more than that, i would be really intimidated ie. they have slept with so many people, what if some of them were better than me?! Maybe sex doesn't mean to them what it means to me?!

I have no idea how many people my new boyfriend has been with, we haven't discussed it yet. but i don't think i want to know. I don't want to taint anything. When you found out how many ppl your SO had been with, how did it make you feel? (if it was a lot)

Well yes, that would be bigamy :P

Brigliadore 07-13-2004 01:29 AM

I was just giving HP a hard time, its one of the perks of being a wife.

Rex: My wife has me between a rock and a hard place.
Miles Massey: That's her job. You should respect that.

Catwoman 07-13-2004 06:29 AM

Mine currently stands at 7. You see, I'm not the sex-obsessed tiger you thought I was. I'm quite innocent really, more like a kitten, or a very small manx.

If you ask me how many times I've actually had sex though, well, I've tried to count but I always run out of numbers.

Not about how many sex parnters one has had (although, if the number is out of this world, I do tend to arch an eyebrow. :eyebrow: ). More along the lines of actual sexual activity (like they show in the Real Sex shows...veddy interesting that show is...heh!) and what different people are into, etc.

And you're right: there *are* other forums that I sign into every so often on DelphiForums that discusses sex/sexual issues. That reminds me, it's been a while since I visited those boards. Thanks for the reminder. ;)

I was half joking about the sex "definition"...I knew what you meant. :D

As far as how many partners? I think I've already "exposed" myself in another thread about sex, but Sycamore has been the only man worthy enough to get these goodies.

cowhead 07-13-2004 10:50 PM

oh dear..

I'm standing at 34 (heh one for each year) and that's counting only intercourse.. I was a late bloomer (well... except the first time, which I have mentioned kinda put me off of the whole thing for quite a while) there were a few years in there though.. playing in a band, and finishing my culinary degree.. the ladies loved it! cook me some food.. play me a song...*sigh* I was quite the whore, (although very very careful about disease..an old friend of mine died of aids in the middle/late 80's.. kinda shook us all up) although these days I am very gun-shy... the other day I ran into a girl I've known for a while.. and she told me she had had a crush on me for about 3 years now... blew my mind.. I don't expect that anymore :)) sorry I don't mean to sound arrogant.. I'm not.. the funny thing (to me).. is that I've never WANTED more than one person (no, I haven't met her yet..well.. maybe I have?... kinda hoping I do one of these days..although I guess I have been engaged 4 times... bad bad cowhead..)

I don't like one night stands.. I never have.. but eh? any port in a storm?

i can list first names if you like I remember all but 4 of them...heh.. once again with the arrogance

here's something funny and even related

Mmmmmmm...I'm never sure, to be honest.
I had one Grand Internet Phone Sex Galore affair that I'm never quite sure how to categorize...

LSMFT 07-19-2004 05:30 PM

Having been married for some time now, I'm no longer queasy about my history. Two reasons the # is a little high is I went to a co-ed boarding school for skiers, and worked as a bicycle mechanic (...really) for almost 20 years.

DanaC 07-19-2004 06:09 PM

Lessee......4...No wait, 5...First couple of flings were childish tumbling with baby faced boys...Then I met "the one"...at 18....supposedly we had an "open relationship" for the first year, which basically meant he was screwing a couple of lasses in the Socialist Worker's party and i was "being cool" about it....actually I hated it but one didnt like to be seen as too straight....so to even the score i slept with one of the SWP guys....It sucked.....We got over the whole open relationship then and then 2 years later i had a one night stand wiht a work colleague and very nearly trashed my relationship......Thats it. So mainly one guy since 18 ...12 years we were together and since we split up I havent fallen for anyone since

plthijinx 07-19-2004 06:13 PM

50+

Undertoad 07-19-2004 11:46 PM

Oh yeah, those bicycle mechanics really score the tail.

Pi 08-09-2004 11:30 AM

That's one interesting question. I'm 24 and I had 2. I started only when I was 21... Actually I think I missed some opportunities, but even if I want it, in the end I didn't. Don't know why, maybe to keep something special to give...

xoxoxoBruce 08-09-2004 12:17 PM

Love ain't for keeping. :)
Later on I think you'll regret the ones you didn't, for whatever reason, more than the ones you did and later thought better of it.

Clodfobble 08-09-2004 01:59 PM

Unless of course you knock one of 'em up. Then you'll really, really regret doing that one.

Crimson Ghost 08-10-2004 02:12 AM

Um..... well.......
Does it count if you keep it in the family?
Lemme explain.........
My wife and I have an interesting situation. We've been involved with her female cousin and my high-school girlfriend for the past ten years. An open marriage if there ever was one....
Anyway, a year or so after we got married, my wife and her cousin got drunk and "experimented", found out that they liked what happened, so they kept it going.
I was, of course, fine with that.
The cousin brings over a "friend" that she thinks my wife would like, and it turns out that this girl was a girl I dated in high-school.
What a twisted life I have.......
Sometimes, you just need to do it, clean up, and write the letter to "HUSTLER" later.......

smoothmoniker 08-10-2004 02:32 AM

dude .... that's just ....

dude .....

i got nothing.

Alright, theres some details missing.I (and probably many people on this board) want to know how welcome the ghost is in these relations?

vsp 08-11-2004 07:47 AM

If actual tab-A-in-slot-B is required, two -- one back in my college years, the other being my wife. I had a sure-thing opportunity with a third, but turned it down because she was rapidly turning out to be poo-slinging crazy and I didn't need the subsequent hassles.

If other, associated activities are included, five, four of those back in my college years. At least two of those might've fallen into the previous category had circumstances been a little different.

Trilby 08-11-2004 12:14 PM

I've had hundreds. Everybody's different yet everybody's the same.
Oh, I know--*cough -slut- cough cough*

lookout123 08-11-2004 12:27 PM

i'm the one that does the *cough cough* bit. i would never say that to you. now if you said you had hundreds in a 24 hour period... i might ask for your autograph on my copy of the dvd.

one of my very good friends from my bartending days had an open relationship while she was married and then a much more open relationship when she was divorced. the numbers involved there are innumerable. we were all sitting around BS with one of her old college friends talking about some of our bizarre sexual escapades when she patted her friend on the shoulder and said something along the lines of "i can't believe that we never slept together back then" he just had this stunned look on his face and replies with "you're shitting me right?"
it turns out that they had on more than one occassion. her response was that "you must be a average lay. i only remember the really good and the really bad"

Trilby 08-11-2004 12:40 PM

I know you were kidding, lookout123--I can take a joke. Besides, where is the fun in being all frigid? Anyway, thanks for not going, "cough-slut..." you know. Sometimes men freak when they meet a woman who likes sex and immediately think she's no good. I say: Let the Games Begin! and really mean it! :doit:

Fascinating, he Spocked. If you were to take the average length of the drills involved multiplied by the average number of thrusts per exploration, just how deep would that tunnel be by now? Could you hear an echo?
