What did you get your significant other

My DH want a pair of good sunglasses  But was thinking of taking him to Boston for a couple of nights by ourselves...not kids...sound like heaven   Also got him some new cologne...

Looked into the new x box for the kids (much to my protest) we got them a PS2 with a dedicated tv.... all to live in the basement....

plthijinx 12-20-2005 08:52 AM

Very nice, ostentatious amber and silver bracelet and a brass figure of Ganesh. Witches are very easy to buy for. Just get 'em something shiny and a graven image, and you're set.

I-pod for kid #1, book (ESPN's Encyclopedia of Football) and Abercrombie gift cert. for kid #2 (kid #2's father getting him I-pod Nano). Frank McCourt's TEACHER MAN for friend; stone gargoyle, pendant of Epona and book MAGICKAL HISTORY OF HORSES all for sister.

My DD would love that... She takes riding lessons (has for about 5 years now) and is a horse fanatic.

Speaking of ESPN, a friend of ours took us on a tour of ESPN. It was VERY cool. Although we apparently met someone famous but it was lost on me, not much of a sports fan.

A pink Razr and a necklace. She actually picked out the necklace. Then, handwalked me to the counter and introduced me to the salesperson.:3_eyes:

She doesn't know about the Razr yet. :santa:

(You better not be reading this sweetie.)

I really didn't have any good ideas this year, which is unusual. But I think she'll like what I got.

I got her a sun hat she has had her eye on for a long time. That was easy. She bookmarked the webpage for me. Then I got her 2 beauty/pampering kits by Burt's Bees. Each has some smelly lotions, soaps, and misc. stuff. A couple of scented candles. A DVD of that Penguin documentary. Got her some pottery earrings from the kids. Kinda cool.

That's all I can remember, so that might be all I got her. Spent about $120 on her. We're trying to keep costs down this year. It makes it harder to find good presents that way. It would be a lot easier to just buy her an iPod.

Making one of these with slides from a recent trip overseas. Slide duplication costs a bloody fortune.

Awesome bracelet!! Is that amber (sp) in the center? Gorgeous.

Uh, yeah, reread the prior post. I'm slipping lately...

You spelled amber correctly, LR. The bracelet was made in Thailand, brought back last month by a friend who is a jeweler and who made his second buying trip there in as many years. It was quite affordable, despite its ostentatiousness (it does help that I am friends with everyone at the store and am given very generous discounts off of retail).

The same friend was on the beaches of Thailand last year two weeks before the tsunami hit. I haven't had a chance to ask him yet how different it was this year.
