Wow, won't be long before all that is left to assault people with is books.

I believe that they're already working on naughty words control.

I have hidden a cache of books in my home just in case.

If they really got serious about this here (heaven forbid), and put U G out of business, wonder how he'd feel about Bush then? ;)

Yet one more use for the multi-volume and thick OED. A nice big Webster's dictionary can stop a line backer in his tracks when thrown properly. And how about those big coffee table books with all the glossy pictures inside? I vote that all public libraries be shut down at once!

Over here it's illegal to carry a pocket knife on the street (if the cops really want to bust you). It's also illegal to carry a concealable weapon (hence the knives thingy) which includes any handgun. It's also illegal to own a semi-automatic weapon - unless you're a farmer and can show just cause for having one.
I've never seen anyone using a book as a weapon. Mostly they just carry their knives anyway - concealed in their pants or jackets etc. I guess crime rates aren't as bad here as they are in the US and some other areas of the world though. We did have a gangland murder a couple of weeks ago though. That was pretty exciting. They don't happen here very much. |

hahaha...nope. In 7th grade I got in trouble from my teacher for bringing a copy of The Thorn Birds (a novel by Colleen McCullogh - one of our foremost authors) to school with the 'dirty bits' (love scenes) highlighted for the other kids to read.
