Fruity Songs.....
My turn to compile the local pub-quizz in a few weeks time, and I always like to have a theme to the music round...( you know, play a few bars, guess the song and artiste).
Having just heard on the wireless (for the first time in ages) 'I had too much too dream last night' by the electric prunes, I think 'fruit' should be the theme. So, I'm looking for 9 more well known songs with fruit either in the title or the artiste/band..... |
1910 fruitgum company. Pick a song. ;)
|
good call. The only hit over here was 'Simon says'. Goes on the list.
|
Bruce, you thunder stealing rascal! I believe that was my first record album. That or the Partridge family which, in its own way is nearly as fruity.
|
I would say Queen or Elton John, but then I actually read the thread.
Wild Cherry! |
you find the partridge family fruity..? hey ho, whatever....
however, the rules of the quizz are for well-known tracks (usually singles, but the odd very famous album track is permitted) PS for your guitar tidy, could you not daisy-chain them from the chandilier? |
Lemon Tree (by many folk groups (Kingston Trio?)
Raspberry Beret (used as a color, but still a fruit) (by Prince) I never promised you a (Rose Garden) (a rose is an aggregate fruit) Cherry Bomb (by John Cougar Mellancamp) Cherry, Cherry (by Neil Diamond) And if we were talking bands then Strawberry Alarm Clock |
|
Raspberries "Go all the way"
I'm just thinking the partrdige family might be a little fruity for adult men to be into, but then I think it has been nearly 40 years since I listened to them. I keep seeing graphic daisies in my minds eye when I think of them. |
ah, with you on the daisy graphics, foot3
and Richlevy, a band called strawberry alarm clock is just the sort of thing I'm looking for..... they would be fitting stablemates to 'the electric prunes' |
Cherry Baby - Starz
