February 9, 2007: Rottweiler raises newborn lambs
http://cellar.org/2007/mollyandlambs.jpg
Spluch points to this BBC story. Lambs 'Lucky' and 'Charms' - those are the actual names - were born but had complications after birth, which meant they had to be separated from their mother. In stepped Molly the Rottweiler, who took to the job of licking them all over, which is the normal ewe behavior to encourage circulation in the youngsters. Molly completely adopted the pair and watches over them until they are old enough to be released to the usual field. |
Lamb goes in oven, comes out and is licked all over by dog. Now that's not usually a story with a happy ending.

Don't play with your food! By the way, is that tasting or basting?
|
Good Dog!

Mareseatoats and doeseatoats but dogs eat lambs without jelly. :yum:

Guy prolly doesn't want to hurt sales by admitting to 'farm-raised Rottweiler-milk-fed-lamb'. [Jim Carey Mask-voice] Spicy!!
|
dog's lickin' his chops! Get it? Get it?
...anybody?... |
There have been a lot of interspecies animal relationships in like the last 10 years. At least on the news and whatnot.
|
got it :)
Actually it looks more like basting to me... |
And the Rottweiler shall lay down with the lamb.
Doesn't have the same ring, does it? |
Anyone got a recipe for Rottweiler/lamb curry?
|

This reminds me of a time when we had been eating MRE's for a week or 2 , or 3 and walked thru a sheep heard , I asked a friend for his cross bow pistol , " why" he asked " just come by my tent tonite "
ZAP , little lamb didn't feel a thing , just dead with a cross bow bolt thru it little head , the LT didn't understand untill I cut off a rear haunche for him , then he just walked away . ;) |
explain please "MRE" and "LT"
