Run Cindy Run!

Cindy Sheehan is looking to take Pelosi down.

Well, the cat got out of the bag early as they so often will do. I was going to announce on July 10th (my 50th birthday) before our Journey for Humanity that I would run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca) if she didn’t put impeachment back on the table before our tour reached DC on July 23rd. Impeachment was never hers to take off the table as it is a Constitutional remedy for BushCo, not an optional smorgasbord choice. However, the story was leaked to the AP and we couldn’t keep the big announcement under wrap

I think she's figured out how badly she was used by the Democrats as well.

I was a life-long Democrat only because the choices were limited. The Democrats are the party of slavery and were the party that started every war in the 20th Century except the other Bush debacle. The Federal Reserve, permanent federal (and unconstitutional) income taxes, Japanese Concentration Camps and, not one, but two atom bombs dropped on the innocent citizens of Japan were brought to us via the Democrats. Don’t tell me the Democrats are our “Saviors” because I am not buying it especially after they bought and purchased more caskets and more devastating pain when they financed and co-facilitated more of George’s abysmal occupation and they are allowing a melt down of our representative Republic by allowing the evils of the executive branch to continue unrestrained by their silent complicity. Good change has happened during Democratic regimes, but as in the civil rights and union movements, the positive changes occurred because of the people not the politicians.

Right On! Griff

Urbane Guerrilla 07-11-2007 11:41 AM

Left off!

War-losers give me heartburn, and impeachmongers are all thoughtless idiots in any case. Both thumbs down, from me and my wife.

Clodfobble 07-11-2007 11:55 AM

Your wife should join the Cellar. That dynamic would be very interesting.

Urbane Guerrilla 07-11-2007 11:58 AM

Could be, but the odds are low -- she doesn't like this kind of BBS enough to play around on any.

She did say once, "Cindy Sheehan is proof that it's never too late for some parents to embarrass their children."

One should not let someone crazed with grief anywhere near making national policy.

You are, of course, referring to Bush after 911.

You lost me on that one??

But anyway, Cindy is becoming a republican. Her single minded bullheadedness should fit right in.

Yes, it is much better to have someone just plain crazed doing so.

I was responding to UG's comment that both he and his wife 'gave a thumbs-down to war-losers.' It would be interesting to see what Urbane's wife is like.

I would love to see her run...

into an 18-wheeler going about 85 mph. :D

It is my contention in this philosophical debate that it is not rational to leave any significant expanse of the globe under the rule of anything less than a democracy. Therefore, I posit that not doing what this Administration is doing is what's nutty as a PayDay bar.

Ah, gotcha. I missed Ug's comment and thought you were talking about Griff's lovely wife. My bad.

Sure, creating terrorists on a wholesale scale is good for Haliburton's coffers.

It's funny... I don't care.
The Democratic leadership is so inept (I'm registered Dem... it is a LONG story) that it is just a joke to me now.
BTW, I am not a "Dem", I'm just registered that way for local reasons.
I'm voting for the weakest national Dem candidate to hurt them do Ron Paul has a better chance.
Another reason, my wife is registered Rep. We go through the ballots and whomever is the opposite of who we want to win votes for the biggest loser on the opposing ballot, we are a team.
