I need some advice.

My world is A.F.U. For the last two and one half years, we have lived in an efficiency apartment. We have no hope of getting out of here. Keryx has a dead end job, and I can not get a job of any kind. My so called boss is a joke. Working for a guy that plays for a living you would think would be fun, it ain't. I have not done any thing but here how cool he is for the last 2 months. His boats are just sitting while he plays with his motorcycles. He calls me 3 or 4 times a day, wanting me to drop everything and and sit with him, and fetch tools. for nothing. I told the clown that I have no money to go anyplace. Now he is mad and "good news" he has not called since.
I need to make a move to a place where my VA compensation will pay our basic expenses. i get $712.00 a month for 50% disability.
My question is do we just move the first of next month, or do we stay and put up with the bullshit for another year? Becky has a degree and is capable of a lot of things.
Any input will be appreciated.

Have you been trying to get a job, resume' and the like?

yesman065 07-29-2007 06:26 PM

How bout going month to month so you can move the first of the following month - or two - whatever. That'll give you enough time to set up and get prepped before you move.

I have a resume and have distributed it all over town. My biggest problem is my x boss he's a grade school bully that never grew up. He now has the political power to control the waterfront. His position is if I won't work for him i can't work for anyone else.
I thought this shit only happened in bad movies.
We are going month to month. I have been in contact with people in other river towns, and people want to see me this week.

Shoot him. Or tell him you'll work for him, all he has to do is pay you.

I've read your comments fargon. I can't give you any advice though. I do hope you figure out the right answer for you and your wife soon though. Sounds like a suckful situation you're in atm.

Keryx has a degree but a dead-end job. Why?

The biggest problem with this guy is he can never pay me on time, or he has no work. He has to buy friends, he is a multi millionaire that is always broke. I am going to Lancaster Wi. to talk to the owner of a tractor shop Friday. I am outta here.

fargon do you have any degrees in anything or any specialized skills?

rkzenrage 07-30-2007 12:38 AM

Yeah, it sounds like a new start "anywhere with anything" else is in order. I've done it and sometimes it is called for.
Sorry you are dealing with a dead-beat boss.

Right now it seems that any decent jobs require engineering or tech degrees. She was working at the phone company, but when she was there a year, they started messing with her till she she quit. Centurytel in La Crosse is known for that.
As far as my Qualifications go I had a Class A CDL until I was rated as clinically depressed by the VA, and the Doctor called the DMV and disqualified me. I am a very good mechanic my certification ran out years ago, but I can work on tractors, and other equipment.
This morning I went to get my recycle jug ready to dump, and found dirt in the ATF from the transmission in my new truck. This is just like my black Ram and my Le Baron convertible. Can any body tall me why I have blown up three transmissions in less than a year. When I drain the fluid I find limestone dust in the fluid. I have not worked in a quarry in years I cannot understand this.

Bruce if this son of a bitch was worth the jail time, I would have put him out of my misery a long time ago.

Sounds like, among other things, it might be helpful to have a security camera pointed at your vehicle while it's parked.

Yep, and an automatic shotgun too.

That dust has to be coming from somewhere. Most likely with help. If you had replaced the trans in this vehicle, I'd say the trans cooler wasn't flushed properly. But that doesn't explain where it came from in the first place.

fargon 07-31-2007 12:24 AM

I have flushed out the torque converter and cooler lines, installed a new cooler I ran out of day light before I could finish hooking it all up. More tomorrow.
