Domestic Terrorism
First the Right-wing anti-abortionist terrorists, then the Eco terrorists, PETA, and now they are going after doctors who do research:
Monkey Madness at UCLA http://www.laweekly.com/news/news/mo...at-ucla/16986/ |
Note that in the article there is not a single word in regards to what the doctor is using the monkeys for. It must be really Goebbles-like on his part for that aspect not to be mentioned, because if he had the monkeys for benign purposes, the article would blare it out as if he is innocent.
If the doc drops one more mascara mix on one more monkey's eyball, I would probably join in on the firebombing. No more need for those types of experiments. |
Then you should spend the rest of your life is jail with the rest of the criminals. Maybe while you're there you could use the library to read up on the tremendous service Rosenbaum has done for mankind with his Eye research.
But be that as it may, I don't care if he was testing eyeliner, there is no excuse for terrorism... risking the lives of police, firemen and the general public, is not acceptable under any circumstances. |
Not unless the 'terrorists' are Mary Kay Commandoes (Bloom County joke).
I read up on eye research. As far as I'm concerned, it is outdated, and for that reason cruel to the animals subject to these experiments. Simulations can be programmed and run to produce better, and less catastrophic, experiments. |
You tell the 3% of the population that suffers from strabismus, they will just have to suffer because cats and monkeys are more important than they are.
Computer simulations don't just leap from some programmers keyboard to solve the worlds problems. They are built on data that researchers have proven to be repeatable. They test cases against all the data groups, various researchers have verified as valid, more quickly than people can do it. But the bottom line is terrorists are criminals that must be stopped. |
