Topiary - do you trim your bush?

This brings up a question I've been meaning to ask...and probably should start a thread for (may have already been one).

When did 90% of women start shaving their bush? I mean, when I was a lad, and even a young man, shaved women were *very* few and far between. Now that I've slipped the surly bonds of monogamy and been around the block a bit, lo' these many years later, I find that exactly the opposite is true. Finding a lush bush anymore is nigh on impossible.

So, ladies...what's up with that? This is a serious, semi-sociological query.
My response is that I have always kept things trimmed down there, because it's more hygienic (think pee and periods). I started removing more hair when I was married, because my husband was a big fan of oral sex, but oddly was a little squeamish about hair. He'd always ask, "Are you tidy?" as a euphemism for washed and closely cropped.

In my next long term relationship, my partner liked even less hair, so I went down the brazilian route. I still kept hair at the front (no reason not to, I've never had a high cut swimsuit in my life!) but underneath practically bare. I think his preference came from internet porn.

Since then I've allowed myself to get more furry - in fact I'm back to where I started in terms of just keeping it neat.

I don't know if I'm influenced so much by a general trend towards or away from hair. My choices have always been based on the opinion of the person who gets to see it closer than I do.

It ain't just the women that mow the lawn. But we call it manscaping. :)

I like it trimmed to just above the length that itches like crazy.

A couple more thoughts...
#1 when dude trimes his bush it adds "visual length" because an extra 1-1.5 inches are visible (see: pr0n dudes)
#2 when chick has shaved all the way, but is starting to get tiny whiskers, you can get whisker burn poking around down there

One can't really do serious work in a garden until the turf has been taken up.

Carpet muncher is a funny term when you realize it's not the carpet that really wants et.

My Mom said, when she worked in the hospital back in the '70s, there were a lot of women, mostly from the Jewish community, with shaped & styled bushes. Trimmed into shapes like hearts, dyed and/or frosted to match the drapes, etc.

My Bush: A history. By Labrat.

Until Red, I just trimmed the sides that might have poked out of a swimsuit bottom. No one ever suggested otherwise, or seemed to care. He suggested an all over trim, to shorten the length on the mons, and completely shaving the lower lips and inner areas to make it more pleasant for him to give oral sex. I happily obliged. I once completely shaved everything, but hated that I looked like I was 12 again. He agreed it was a little creepy. So, I usually leave a trimmed "landing strip" but remove everything else.

As a special treat for our Vegas trip a couple years ago, I went all the way and got my first brazilian, (landing strip maintained). We loved it. Totally enhanced sex. I kept at that for several months till my waxer moved their office and it was much less convenient to just pop out of work for a few minutes. I went back to shaving, which actually saved a ton of money.

I will be getting a wax again for our next trip, and have considered looking into electrolysis as a way to maintain the (almost) hairfree look, with a whole lot less effort and pain. Plus, in the long run, it's the cheapest route too. Maybe next time he gets a bonus. . . ;)

I know I just got a bonus...

Well, having a full grown bush feels kinda itchy to me... so I trim or shave, depending on my mood. I just don't like that 3 day old hair, where it is itchy but is still too short to do anything about it. So I do prefer to shave the the lower lips (they don't get itchy like the rest) and keep the rest trimmed short. Plus, it does enhance oral sex, and I love me some oral sex. lol I like my man trimmed too though... I hate getting hairs stuck down my throat from oral sex, which seems to inevitably happen when he hasn't "manscaped" recently.

If there's grass on the playing field...

...it's time to trim down

I've never been a fan of pubes... they just don't have any redeeming qualities imo. I used to trim, then I trimmed more, then I had just a strip for quite a while... huge amount of time wasted trying to keep things straight and even down there... now I just shave it all off. Doesn't take very long, its just part of the shower routine every day.

I had a roommate in college that was a pube queen. They were friggin everywhere in the 10X10 room we shared. Soooo disgusting.... I was scarred for life.

Full Brazilian every 4 weeks.....or...err...*touch up* before special occasions.

I cant stand to shave anything, Im lazy and I dont like the regrowth.

Ive waxed for so long, I dont get much regrowth anywhere.

Boys at work say the same thing, NO SteveDallas...they havent *seen* that I look liked a 12 year old, but say that it would be like shtooking one.

Undertoad 04-12-2008 07:01 AM

A 12-year-old, or a sexy adult woman.

Having never shtook'd the former, the latter is what it puts me in the mind of.

TheMercenary 04-12-2008 08:07 AM

Shave it ladies. Keep it that way. I hate picking hair out of my teeth. Thanks.

Well, I never met any. And if I wanted to see frosting down there on a woman, it wouldn't be the kind you use to tint hair.:yum:

Although now it would have to be sugar-free and low-cal. ::):
