Because I have no idea who they are. Random people's divorce is always a surprise.

Do you think it is his ghey, or her dramatic weight loss?

I had a friend who had the surgery. After going through her whole life as a very big person she wasn't sure what to do with her new self. She divorced her husband, and later regretted that, went off the deep end, and was asked to resign from her job.

I know there is some kind of psychological evaluation before the surgery, but an intelligent person can fly through that; no one can truly be prepared for such a quick and dramatic change.

As far as the original question - Surprised?......nope, but I'm pretty pessimistic right now.
