Just because you put up with addicts and violence on a near daily basis does not mean you need to treat the general public with such disrespect. Some cops have forgotten that they exist to SERVE the public, not treat them as animals in need of oversight. I can understand becoming skeptical with all the crap that they put up with day in and day out, I'd much rather run into a burning building than deal with a coke-head wielding a knife, but it is no excuse to look upon the public as inferior and lacking in moral character.

Without knowing the full circumstances... I'm not so sure this guy did anything wrong. Gee I noticed that there aren't any pics or info about the birth of the baby... Just "she made it in time"

Wonder if it was just a convenient excuse for getting caught riding the shoulder and running into a parked cop - Perhaps there was no way they could get back into the regular lane as the traffic was all backed up.... handy excuse. I dunno.

If the lady was me, or my wife, I wouldn't necessarily want personal information on national news.

Its pretty simple though, no criminal is going to pull over to ask a cop for an escort. The family should have called an ambulance but damn...
