You can't believe everything you read on the internet. There's no way that's true.

Aliantha 05-05-2009 08:26 PM

That's a lot of text messages.

classicman 05-05-2009 08:52 PM

Impossible based upon the 40 hour a week job + school + sleep, eating...

Agent-G 05-06-2009 04:32 AM

How about this one...sent them an itemized bill which charged them over $26,000 for texting. The bill came in a box which cost $27.55 just to send the bill.

That one is more believable. Well, except for that part about the guy actually having a wife. I picture him living in his mom's basement.

Speaking of texting, did you guys see the video of the MORON who was texting while driving (a bus!!!) and he slammed into the SUV in front of him? That guy should go to jail and be an example for all the other morons who think they can drive and text at the same time!

classicman 05-06-2009 10:30 AM

...or the women who put on their makeup, or people who smoke, or drink, or eat, or or or or...

Trilby 05-06-2009 10:34 AM

Hey!

I can eat a chili dog, figure out the jumble and drive down a windy road with my knee while rolling a fattie!

er...at least I used to be able to do those things. :D

*chuckles* from the article about the record breakers:

Quote:

April came as a relief to Andes' wife, Julie, who had found his phone tied up with texting when she tried to call him on lunch breaks.

"She was tired of it the first few days into it," Andes said.

I dunno, it's certainly extreme, but I think it's possible. I say this because in college I was addicted to ICQ for awhile (instant messaging, nobody used texting in those days.) I would have conversations with 6-8 people at one time, to cover the lag between responses. I'd be typing pretty much constantly from about 8 PM until 2 AM, sometimes later. Plus, if her phone plan is anything like mine, they count both sent and received text messages. And remember how short and inane each single message can be:

What's up?
Nothing. You?
At work. It sucks.
Yeah. Me too.

It's not about logging 400+ messages an hour, it's about having a dedicated block of time each evening to really text at full speed.

I see my kids texting sometimes and its like a whole new language - Kingswood would have a heart attack if he/she ever saw the butchering they do.

Also, it could be she taps out one text and sends it to 20 recipients. Is that counted as one or 20? This could help manage the numbers.
