What probably should be irritating but actually isn't?

Hector's new trumpet.

Brought home from school today. Sounds as terrible as you'd expect, but he's so proud and got straight down to practice.... and this was the kid in first grade who cried during the "getting-to-know-you" first-grade talent show and an announcement was made for daddy to come up on stage and do his presentation of legos for him.

How come I always miss the typos in the title and that's the one bit you can't edit? that is irritating.

lumberjim 10-13-2009 10:32 PM

bruce and tony can fix it.....but they always break your balls/box about it.

I am 4 weeks late grading my student's first projects, and their totally justified bitching isn't irritating me one bit.

aw thank you xoB :)

Today the lack of tidiness in the lounge/family room should be irritating me, but isn't...yet

he loves it sooo much. bless his little cotton socks. first thing he did when he got home today. even though he'd already filled his practice requirements. Gotta drag the damn thing into school tomorrow, though... along with his soccer kit....

Give it a week. It will be as irritating as you would expect, but he will be practising a lot less...

[former high-school player of the trombone ... shudder]

You may be right. And if not, he'll be better. And hopefully moving on from Hot Cross Buns, because that may eventually turn me into a hot cross mum.

I probably should be irritated by a certain family at the fencing club but I'm not. I just automatically throw the little constant petty shots, egotism, and general ass-hatismo into the ash bin. Unfortunately, the coach is losing his ability to do so, since it is screwing with his vision for the club. Sometimes it sucks to lead. They haven't gotten any worse but I think the coach has finally exhausted his reserve of patience.

My kitten who is currently trying to type this post for me (sample: :oji8hwqe). She also digs the potting soil out of my plants and has broken a ceramic cat that I'd had for 20 years (thou shalt have no other cats before me). She continues to live because she is just so damn cute and has shown no interest in the trumpet.

I can soooo relate! My kitten (Spiderman) isn't so much destroying things as she's (yes, Spiderman is a SHE) nursing on my earlobe, which is wet and annoying as she purrs as she does it. (her mommy hopped on the back of a Harley four weeks ago and no-one has seen her since - at least that is what we tell Spidey) - but she's cute as hell. Size doesn't matter but cuteness does. :) :apaw:
