Is there something wrong with someone who can relate nearly every situation (psychological, physical, spiritual, cultural, historical) to a Simpsons episode?

I found myself describing an acquaintance as a "Female Comic Book Guy" yesterday.

No. That's a perfectly cromulent description for a person.

A careful study of popular culture will embiggen anyone's mind.

I do that with Seinfeld quotes.

The Simpsons already did everything, therfore they can alwyas be referenced.

Yesterday I overheard a cow orker do a Nelson laugh at another cow orker. I cracked up.

You're lucky. At least other people know what you're referring to.
My quotes and references come from The League of Gentlemen. And worse than that - sometimes from their DVD commentaries. After all, many things they say aren't funny out of context.
