Simpsons References...

Is there something wrong with someone who can relate nearly every situation (psychological, physical, spiritual, cultural, historical) to a Simpsons episode?

I found myself describing an acquaintance as a "Female Comic Book Guy" yesterday.

No. That's a perfectly cromulent description for a person.

A careful study of popular culture will embiggen anyone's mind.

I do that with Seinfeld quotes.

One of the favourite lines used in our house mainly by Dazza and the boys is:

It's just a little dirty, it's still good! It's still good!

eta: another thing that is commonly heard is, "That's just like in the Simpsons episode where..."

hmm, maybe you should cut those 24 hour Simpsons marathons down to twice a week ;)

two days ago I described a childhood pal as a "Ralph Wiggum" - maybe I'm just being lazy?

You're lucky. At least other people know what you're referring to.
My quotes and references come from The League of Gentlemen. And worse than that - sometimes from their DVD commentaries. After all, many things they say aren't funny out of context.

"The earrings, the party hat and the dressing gown - the three things Lon Chaney forgot."

I laugh anyway.
You've got to really.

I did a Simpsons here, but it might have been a bit obscure. :)
