Abandoned Amusement Park
Backstory: I've been working EMS at a waterpark part time this summer. The waterpark itself is all that's left of an old amusement park called Geauga Lake (Previously Six Flags and Sea World in years past).
The side of the park with all the coasters has been shuttered for a couple years with buildings slowly being stripped of anything valuable before being torn down, or just left to the elements and vandalism to decay. I got the chance to tag along with security one night during their rounds on that side of the park and took some photos. So here they are: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f8...n/P1010524.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f8...n/P1010525.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f8...n/P1010503.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f8...n/P1010530.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f8...n/P1010519.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f8...n/P1010517.jpg |
No ghosties?

Pic#3 says it best to me, and I like the "photography" of it.
It's surprising there has not been a conflagration to take it all down (yet) |
No ghosts, but there's plenty of ghost stories surrounding the old hotel and murder/suicides in a couple rooms.
|
Creepy, but it looks like it has great potential to recycle a lot of building materials.

I'd have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for those pesky kids.

Very Life After People-ish. Cool pics!
