No Pants No Glory?
I stayed home sick with a chest cold on Friday and have been living for the past 3 days in two nightshirts I bought online. These shirts are made of T-shirt cotton with a collarless neck with 3 buttons, and 3/4 sleeves and reach down to halfway between ankles and knees. I also wear a knit cap to bed which along with my beard overall makes me look a bit like I belong in an Eastern European village.
I have to admit I'm beginning to see the attraction of cassocks, robe, kilts, et al. With bathrobes, I'm always fidgeting with my belt to keep it closed, but once I pull this on over my head, there's no worries in that department. I also wear loose thin sweatpants sometimes, and sitting in my leather computer chair can sometimes be difficult when the nightshirt rides up, but walking and sitting on the sofa, as well as sleeping is very comfortable and relaxing. It's too bad I can't get away with wearing one of these to work on casual day.:D Considering the number of transvestites and transexuals on the Cellar, I'm sort of curious as to what it felt like when they stopped wearing pants. I'm not entertaining transvestism or the priesthood for myself, and it's certainly not worth shedding a body part over, so that leaves either embracing my Scottish heritage or moving someplace where they wear robes outdoors if I want to wear these outside.;) Picture here: http://www.kingsizedirect.com/large-...Type=G&pref=ps BTW, I'm not shilling for KingSize Direct, although if they sent me a half dozen more of these so my poor wife doesn't have to do the wash so often......:p: |

I believe David Beckham is an advocate of the "Male Unbifurcated Garment". I agree that Man-skirt isn't a good name, but neither is MUG.

I wake up strangling when I try to sleep in a t-shirt, I'd never survive the night in one of those things.

A guy on my floor in college wore plaid flannel night shirts. He loved them and his girlfriend did too. He said in a sly voice that it made for easier access for sex.
They look like nighties though. |

(What am I, part Pirate?) But some dude running around here in a skirt because pants chafe? No. No. No. (snicker) ;) (Oh, and Sean Connery? Never did it for me.) |
He said skirt, not giant condom.

It's supposed to look Scroogey, because that's who I think of when I think of nightshirts. But nightshirts are cool. I actually prefer t-shirt and shorts or sweats, or some kind of pants pajamas. I toss a lot and the dressy ones twist up. You wear whatever makes you happy, I was just teasing. |
I'm fine with a man in a utilikilt :D

Man, I have got to start looking for one of those Scrooge hats.:p:
