Long ago was this question. What country is the greatest threat to America? Probably Pakistan. That answer remains.
Back in 2008, a reality was predicted.

In 349 days, America will have leaders with balls to ask that question.

Then we first discovered and later elected one. Then a hunt for bin Laden was restarted - with success. Where did they find him? Protected in a house just down the street from Pakistan's equivalent of West Point.
Reality. When was Pakistan really a respected ally? Pakistan was even marketing bombs to countries that most needed nuclear weapons because some idiot called them the axis of evil. This was even posted in May 2007 when xoxoxoBruce was calling me a liar. The impending Veto:

(BTW bruce, even Michael Yon has come around to my thinking.) Reality has not changed. Has only become more obvious after almost five years.
Pakistan has been and remains a greatest threat to America. It should have been obvious long ago when George Jr was promoting lies and all but protecting bin Laden. A problem made even worse with so much of our military trapped should Pakistan decide they don't need the $billions used to 'buy' them.
As the Economist recently noted, Pakistan has clearly become more fundamentalist than it was ten years ago. But it should have been obvious that long ago that Pakistan was and remains a greatest threat to America.
Meanwhile, Turkey deserves a much higher rating than Israel.
Sidebar: who planned the Pakistani attack on Lahore that killed 100+ in India? A man who lived in two counties both adjacent to The Cellar. Does the Cellar also lie in a hotbed of extremism where friends are not on that list?
