Oh fucking Christ, for fuck's sake
A few weeks ago I had the ball joints replaced on the ricer. I've put less than a couple of hundred miles on it. Today, I am driving the kids to my place and I hear a loud CLUNK then I hear another one then a slightly quieter one, and I'm thinking "I better get this back to the mechanic, asap" 20 feet from my driveway KA BAM and I slide into home plate.
At least I made it home. A little pissed. But glad I'm home. |
fuuuuuuck.
I had the lower A-arm assembly reveal it's separation from the frame as I prepared to park at home by backing up. It had been broken for who knows how long, but faithfully castered along, just so long as I was moving FORWARD. As soon as I wasn't dragging the wheel that way, it folded in at the top at an angle of about 70 degrees. But I was parked. |
:confused:The replaced ball joints let go???

Not sure. My jack is back at the house and I don't think there is a little fella in the trunk of this thing. I'll get the floor jack tomorrow and pull the wheel. Maybe getting a stake bed will kill two birds with one stone...

Best get your balljointer on the horn and ask if he's got a guess. I suspect he'll want to come look see, first thing in the morning.

I been balling a shiny black steel ball joint, been chippin' up rocks for the great highway, live five years if I take my time, ballin' that joint and a drinkin' my wine. I been chippin' them rocks from dawn till doom, while my rider hide my bottle in the other room. Doctor say better stop ballin' that joint, if I live five years I gonna bust my back, yes I will. Easy wind cross the Bayou today cause there's a whole lotta women, mama, out in red on the streets today. And the rivers keep a talkin', but you never heard a word it said. Gotta find a woman be good to me, won't hide my liquor try to serve me tea, cause I'm a stone jack baller and my heart is true and I'll give everything that I got to you, yes I will. Easy wind going cross the Bayou today there's a whole lotta women out on the streets in red today. And the rivers keep a talkin', but you never heard a word it said. |
