Can music offer the key to treating dementia?
This is an interesting question, created by current brain studies. The studies explain why people are so drawn to music even if it's just rhythm sticks.

Interesting.
I was listening to a radio interview a little while ago and it was talking about how the sounds and sights of childhood or youth, and in particular music from their younger days can really soothe and help dementia sufferers. Used to be that you'd try and bring them back to the present - these days it's more about meeting them at whatever point they're at. |
It made me wonder what Amamda thinks when hearing the music from her childhood? Can this work against therapists?
