Good smoked bbq

My boyfriend is coming to visit me soon and wants to try some good smoked bbq. I don't eat out much, so I've got no idea where to take him. Anyone who lives in Houston has a place to recommend? Preferably pork because he can't eat too much beef. I know this thread should be in the food section, but I need a wider attention. Thank you!!

P.S. Yes, I am also checking out Yelp.

Elizabeth is a culinary arts major and travels for college cooking competitions. She met a pit master from the Brisket House and she has raved about their food. I think they have won a lot of competitions. Their known for serving their meat on brown butcher paper.

Bring your BF up to my place and I will make you the best smoked pork ribs you have ever had.

Thank you, Sarge! I know we have a few Houstonians here and was hoping they would have some inputs.

Fargon: You live too far up north, man! But I will keep you in mind. :D

I don't believe it's just the two of us.

I always wondered about smoked BBQ...How do ya get it to burn once you've rolled it? The sauce always soaks my papers to the point they won't even light. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...I'll try a pipe or bong next time...

I was too respectful to say anything

Y'all are silly. All you fine men in here have girlfriends....or wives. Foot, you're looking good these days. Gravdigr, you're too much of a free spirit to be tied down, apparently. :p:

I could be tied down. Or up. Whatever. It's up to you.
