I just ..... for the first time
used a gas-powered trimmer.
boy those things are unwieldy. I'll stick to my electric one at home.... (also, I killed it in the sense that the mfthing stopped working half way through.... :( ) |
I bought a Stihl FS90, used, actually have bought two so far. That thing is a fucking beast. It will get through whatever the hell gets in the way. I watched a YouTube video on the merits of the Echo speed feed bump feed head. WOW. I am definitely getting one .

Heh, that's about as useful as a solar flashlight.

Beest likes our (cheap) electric chainsaw, but yes, it wouldn't cope with anything big-scale heavyweight. takes down the tree limbs we need to remove occasionally and converts them into firewood, but we only have half a dozen serious trees, so not a major undertaking

If you have power, or a generator, they are wonderful. Light weight, no gas to get stale in a couple months and clog everything up. Only chain oil to deal with and the chain sharpening no matter what you use. The tools that are used seasonally are much better electric powered. But sometimes there's no power and responsible citizens, unlike myself, are in a bind. Most can't take my attitude of fuck it, I don't care, as long as I'm not out of booze, smokes, or porn I'm happy to wait it out. ;)

I had the small twin blade one at first, but i bent a part and returned it under warranty, and upgraded to the bigger single blade.
When i first got the little one, the neighbor walked over and asked if it was actually running, or if I was just practicing. |
 Good line.

Yep.
