9/3: Image backlog clearing

This proves that dalmations are insane. Whether there are 101 of them or just 2. I know, you may love a dal, and that's fine, but they are insane.

I don't know what to say here.

Every space shuttle launch these days is accompanied by awesome shots of the trails left behind. This is from the last one (Discovery).

How did people get urgent news in 1898? They waited outside the newspaper building, and the newspaper folks would post big bulletins outside their doors.

Protest for bucks: at
whitehouseprotests.com, you can buy an hour's worth of banners at the White House for only $50/hour.

But that's without the 'demonstration' part. For demonstration you have to pay extra.

I wonder how much they charge for fighting with the police, trashing cars, breaking store windows, spraying graffiti on buildings, getting hauled off to jail, and writing passionate, angry articles about the experience for the Village Voice, The Nation, and The Utne Reader?

And how much for writing Martin Luther King's 'Letter from Birmingham Jail'?

IMO, this one deserved to be an IotD. The whole concept so damned postmodern.

This has me wondering now...

Rho and I used to travel down Masschusetts Ave. frequently (Embassy Row) while we lived in DC. And every time we drove by the Vice President's House/Naval Observatory, there was always some guy outside protesting against pedophiles, I believe. Maybe this guy was merely vigilant, but he was pretty damned faithful to be out there every day...or was he? I don't want to take away from someone's cause, but we were always suspicious of this lone protestor.

*shrugs*
