Saw this posted today.. good summery. One of the things to (start for some) pay attention to.

This is very topical. I especially agreed with the comment:

"When America stops being America, the bad guys have won. If we are indeed the land of the free and the home of the brave, we should bravely continue our freedoms, not give them up. "

The fact that a lot of the country does not seem to realize this is one of my greatest fears.

Obviously Ashcroft should be attested of terrorisim charges, he clearly wants to remove that pesky constitution thing.

Sorenson puts a lot of truth in a short column there. Thanks for the link Serge. Despite my irrational ;) affection for my faith, I can see why we should never mix the coercive power of the state with religion. The good that I believe religion can do has to be voluntary, divorced from political power. Of course, I believe that most things should be divorced from politics, but thats a whole other discussion.
