Perfume

I go through this every mothers day. I get my mom a particular brand. The same fragrance comes in

Parfum - most expensive
Eau de Parfum
Eau de Cologne
Eau de Toillete

So I finally found the answer on the Internet

Quote:

The dilution factor
The costliest form of fragrance is pure perfume, which contains the highest quantity of essential oils -- generally 22 percent -- and the least amount of alcohol-based fixative.

Perfume is followed in order by:

eau de parfum -- 15 to 22 percent essential oils
eau de toilette -- 8 to 15 percent
cologne or eau de cologne -- 4 percent
eau fraiche -- the most diluted version of scent with just 1 to 3 percent

Shake things up a bit. Get her something new in addition to the old reliable ...

a few days ago i changed scents to Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Eau de Parum.

it is SO awesome, everyone has been noticing how nice it is!

i think parfum is too strong, can give you a headache is you OD.

Toillete is too weak, you put it on and an hour later you cant hardly smell anything

i would always go for the Eau de Parfum.

Thanks Rich...I always did wonder about that. But, due to my love of butchery of the French language, I pronounce the names differently. Toilet water for instance. :D

Now, go to work on the difference between cheese, cheese food and cheese product.

Oh gosh: this reminds me of when I wore commercial fragrances, like White Diamonds, Red Door, etc., etc.

Personally, I'm now into Bath & Body Works "Pleasures" line. Sheer Freesia is a great fragrance. They also have a Green Tea scent, which is my next purchase. :)
